The chapters of Sakamoto Days are thrilling right now, and fans are beyond excited with how the plot has progressed. Getting to see that double spread pages of Takamura slicing the building was bliss.
Mr. Sakamoto meets Slur, and they somehow know each other. How are Slur and Mr. Sakamoto related? Were they assassin friends or rivals? I admired how the manga adds fun talks between all the commotion.

4. Recap of Chapter 52
This chapter starts with Gaku facing Takamura at the JAA. Gaku tries to hit Takamura intensely but sees Takamura block the hit with his sword. Takamura then takes his sword out and gives a massive swing.
Half of the area on the floor gets sliced, and Gaku’s two fingers and his ear get cut as well. Gaku tries to attack Takamura head-on but gets his staff sliced. While trying to make a move on Takamura, Gaku realizes the next sword swing is coming.
Slur hears the commotion and wonders if it’s Gaku. Looking at the damage, he realizes it’s Takamura and is surprised he’s alive. Suddenly out of nowhere, Mr. Sakamoto, Shin, and Apart crash into the floor.
Mr. Sakamoto faces Slur and states he’s alive after all, realizing it’s Uzuki. Slur finds Mr. Sakamoto’s appearance sad and says it’s been a while since they met. He says he doesn’t go by his previous name anymore and is Slur now.
Mr. Sakamoto asks Slur why he put a bounty on his head and what’s his goal. Slur quickly stabs Mr. Sakamoto while he says Mr. Sakamoto has become chatty. Shin tries to check on Mr. Sakamoto but gets held by Uda.
Apart cuts Uda’s gun and tries to save Shin. In the process, Slur cuts Apart’s hand in a flash. Shin gets pinned down and almost killed by Uda. Luckily, Mr. Sakamoto tackled Uda before landing the strike on Shin.
Shin finds Mr. Sakamoto bleeding, but Mr. Sakamoto tells Shin and Apart to retreat. Shin is hesitant to leave, but Mr. Sakamoto says he’ll take care of the situation. Slur is amused and says it’s true about the saying that you never know when it’s time to die.
