2. Recap of Chapter 202 of Sakamoto Days
Chapter 202 of Sakamoto Days started out with Shin, who tagged along with Sakamoto, informing him that there were multiple bombs on the ship that were placed in various locations, so tracking them all down and disarming them would be impossible, given the limited time that they were given. While Sakamoto was contemplating his next move, Ikari hijacked the control room and had the ship drive straight into the port at full speed. In an event where the ship crashes into the port, the bombs would detonate, which is the last thing everyone wants.
Sakamoto was quick to act, though, as he quickly went and knocked Ikari out and tried to get the ship back. However, the ship lost control of its steering, and the engines wouldn’t stop either, so the ship was destined to crash into the port. The ship was about to crash into a bridge, and a patrol helicopter flew beside the ship, ordering them to halt. Sakamoto seized this opportunity and used a rope to have the helicopter dragged down into the water, where he had the propellor act as a stopper for the ship to come to a halt.
After the ship stopped, Sakamoto and Shin had all the passengers in it evacuate and even asked those who couldn’t make it in time to jump into the ocean before the bomb exploded. While Ando hung onto his dear life, Shin had everyone leave the ship, also while hoping to catch up with his father after saving everyone. Just when Shin felt like he’d saved enough time to go see his father one last time, he heard the thoughts of a child who couldn’t move due to an injury, so he rushed to the child’s aid while Ando was determined to stay alive until he could see his son again.
Right when Shin managed to bring the child out of the ship, he saw his father looking at him from within the ship. Ando, who realized he wouldn’t hold on for much longer, passed his final words onto Shin: “Live”. Shin watched Ando’s last moments with tears in his eyes, and the chapter ended with the ship blowing up as a consequence of Ando’s death.
