As things unfolded, fans witnessed a fight between Nagumo and Gaku. Nagumo was expecting X himself, but since his wishes didn’t come true, he suggested they go separate ways because he knew Gaku had his own agenda.
The situation seemed to be resolved very easily, as Gaku agreed too, but before leaving, he quickly struck Nagumo. It almost seemed like Gaku saw through Nagumo’s real intentions. Nagumo then questioned Gaku’s claim of being stronger than X during their battle.
Gaku ignored this question and tried to analyze Nagumo’s strength. He realized that he may be the stronger one, but speed-wise, they were neck-to-neck. Gaku underestimated Nagumo just because he could keep track of his movements. Nagumo used this in his favor and threw a dice to distract him. In that split moment where Gaku was distracted, he cuts him with his blade.
