Chapter 145 starts with a flashback to Mafuyu’s past, revealing critical information about his older brother, Natsuki Seba. Their dad wanted to make both of them first-rate assassins. Young Mafuyu is shown to be upset about it because he doesn’t want to be an assassin.
His older brother, Natsuki, soon finds him in the forest and gives him a weaponized shoe. Mafuyu is really impressed by this. From then on, Natsuki always showed Mafuyu his inventions like the “Freezy-Freezy Bomb”. He even told Mafuyu about his wish to become a professional weapon maker.
Their fun times doesn’t last long since their dad, who’s really opposed to Natsuki’s wish of becoming a weapon maker, finds his inventions. Natsuki takes all the blame on himself to protect Mafuyu.
Later that night, Mafuyu overhears his parents talking about the JAA and that they will send him to that organization. Mafuyu’s mother is really against this idea, but his father doesn’t seem to change his mind. Suddenly, Natsuki arrives and tells them he’ll go to the JAA, but they can’t send Mafuyu there.
Realizing how much his brother loves him, mafuyu starts to cry. He tries to think of a way to prevent all this so that his brother can become a professional weapon maker. The flashback abruptly ends as Mafuyu starts to gain back consciousness.
Osarogi is still on their tail, and Shin is carrying the unconscious Mafuyu on his back. Just when Osarogi was about to attack them from behind, two bombs identical to Natsuki’s “Freezy-Freezy Bomb” dropped near them, completely freezing Osarogi in her place.
