Kumanomi launches brutal attacks on Hyo in chapter 124 of Sakamoto Days, titled “Kumanomi.”

An action-packed episode where we finally learned about Kumanomi’s powers. However, we didn’t get much idea about it, she basically uses electromagnets to attract everything metal to herself. 

The chapter felt short, which can be attributed to it being only about action. The action was well-choreographed but physics-defying (a routine with the manga). 

We also got to know a little bit about Kumanomi, who belongs to the tough but caring archetype.

Hyo will try to tackle Kumanomi’s powers in chapter 125 of Sakamoto Days.

Now that he has realized how she attacks, he will try to plot and launch a counterattack. I think she is not alone in the fight, and his other friends might be waiting for the right time to enter the battle.

Sakamoto might come in to help Hyo. It looks like this fight might go on for some more chapters. Heisuke has not yet gone, and he will try to help Hyo. More about Kumanomi and her motives will be revealed in the upcoming chapters as the fight gets more intense.

Kumanomi asks who out of Keisuke and Hyo are from the Order. Hyo realizes she is one of X’s assassins. She attacks him and rips out his ear without touching him.

She asks if he is the one who ripped off Gaku’s ear. He doesn’t seem to know who Gaku is. She tells him to bring the guy who did that. He doesn’t want to do that and ounces the ground, throwing Kumanomi many floors down. 

She is unharmed from the attack. Hyo tells Heisuke to escape as she is after Hyo. Meanwhile, Kashima asks what’s the deal with Kumanomi. Uzui tells him that she is very caring despite her exterior. 

She only knows that they are either friends or enemies in the world. His friends tell Kashima to be careful of her as she hasn’t yet accepted him as her friend, and because of his body, she is the worst possible enemy for him. 

Kumanomi starts attracting all the metal around her, and Hyo realizes she is using an electromagnet. She throws steel beams at him. He runs away and tries to deflect the beams. 

However, some beams hit him from behind and throw him into a bus. She binds him to the roof of the bus and rips off the roof with her magnets and throws him onto a car. 

He finds it interesting, while Kumanomi exclaims that he seems to be enjoying the pain.

“Sakamoto Days” is a comedy-action manga by Yuto Suzuki published in Weekly Shonen Jump. The author is already known for two successful one-shots, Garaku and Locker Room.

The first chapter of this manga series was released on November 21, 2020. The story follows the Ultimate Assassin, Taro Sakamoto, who shifts to a much more peaceful lifestyle after falling in love with a convenience store owner.
