Akao dies at Uzui’s hands in chapter 119 of Sakamoto Days, titled “Goodbye.”

It was a great chapter where Uzui’s truth was revealed to everyone. He finally runs away, with Akao going after him. However, things don’t go well, and Akao ends up dead (probably).

Sakamoto and Nagumo join the Order after meeting Yotsumura. Yotsumura is not ready to believe that Uzui was the one who killed Kindaka as they don’t have any evidence yet.

It is still not clear whether Akao is dead. There are high chances of it, but the biggest question that arises right now is what Uzui and Akao were doing for a whole year before finally reappearing. 

It felt pretty rushed how time went by so fast. Sakamoto and Nagumo spent more than one year without actually finding anything about Uzui. I felt strange how suddenly, out of nowhere, Nagumo got his location. 

Now, it will be interesting to see what happens next, as Sakamoto won’t be able to kill Uzui, that’s for sure. So, what will happen next?

Uzui is in shock after Kindaka sacrifices his life for him. Akao, who has seen it all now, stands behind him, claiming he dropped the antidote on purpose. Without any delay, Uzui unleashes a fierce attack on her. 

He tells her to stay back. Nagumo and Sakamoto halt his attack. Uzui disappears in thin air. She tells them the details of what conspired and tells them to take the mother-daughter duo and Kindaka away. 

She decides to go after Uzui. Nagumo hands her his gun, and she hands her pack of cigarettes to Sakamoto. Sakamoto says that was the last time he spoke with Akao.

Three days after Akao and Uzui disappeared, Nagumo and Sakamoto went to meet the chairman of JAA. Nagumo asks him whether they have got any clue about Uzui, but he denies it. 

Yotsumura tells them that they don’t have any hard evidence that Uzui was the one who killed Kindaka. He also suspects Akao, which leads to Sakamoto almost landing a punch on him, but Hyo stops him.

Yotsumura tells them to find Uzui on their own and bring the evidence. Nagumo asks him why he wants them to join the Order. He simply tells them that they are shorthanded. 

After about one year of their joining the Order, Nagumo informs Sakamoto that he has found the whereabouts of Uzui. Sakamoto goes to the destined location and finds Uzui and Akao there. 

However, Akao is lying down unconscious. Uzui tells him that she is dead, and he is the one who killed her, leaving Sakamoto in utter shock.
