The next chapter will feature a flashback of Sakamoto, when he was still working as an assassin, and Uzuki. It’s highly likely that Sakamoto was tasked with killing Shin after he blew up the JAA orphanage.
Something must have happened for Sakamoto to be unable to complete his mission, knowing how skilled he was at his job. The next chapter will shed some much-needed light on Uzuki’s past and background since, so far, hardly anything is known about him.

Sakamoto and Shin tell Aoi and the others about their plan to head to Thailand next. They decide to take Heisuke with them since they need as many strong allies as they can. Amane asks the group their reasons for going after Uzuki.
Shin tells Amane that Uzuki is the one who instituted the bounty on Sakamoto’s head, and Amane comments on how weird it is for Uzuki to have done so since he supposedly never had any contact with Sakamoto as a student. However, one possibility is that X’s split personaleity may indeed have some grudge against Sakamoto.
Shin thinks back to how Uzuki and Nagumo both mention Sakamoto trying to kill Uzuki in the past, but Sakamoto never brought back the topic. He notices Sakamoto being absent’ minded during the rest of the dinner.
At night, Sakamoto tries to leave alone quietly but is caught by Shin. Sakamoto tells him that his hunch is telling him to go alone, and his hunches are always right. Shin gets frustrated that Sakamoto is still not trusting him completely and tells Sakamoto not to underestimate him.
They start fighting, and though Sakamoto thinks he can win easily at first, he quickly realizes that Shin has gotten stronger. Shin throws Sakamoto inside the store and is about to attack but is suddenly stopped mid-battle by Heisuke’s net gun. Heisuke asks Sakamoto what he is doing since he considers them friends. Sakamoto starts protesting again about how his intuition is always right but is interrupted by Aoi.
Aoi tells Sakamoto that he is feeling terrified of people whom he cares about, but he should still talk it out since it never feels good to be left behind.
After cooling their heads, Sakamoto tells Shin he has gotten strong. Flustered about his actions, Shin apologizes and asks him if he is angry. Sakamoto makes up his mind and asks Shin if he will listen to his story about his past with Uzuki.

“Sakamoto Days” is a comedy-action manga by Yuto Suzuki published in Weekly Shonen Jump. The author is already known for two successful one-shots, Garaku and Locker Room.
