For those of you who grew up watching the Sailor Moon TV series or reading the manga as a kid, get ready to be hit by a wonderful wave of nostalgia.
Naoko Takeuchi’s shojo anime from the 1990s was well-received owing to its interesting characters and adventurous story.
The Sailor Moon franchise is back to woo its fans once again with “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal”.
It is a two-part anime film sequel to the Sailor Moon Crystal series that will act as season four of the Sailor Moon series. It adapts the Dead Moon arc from the manga.
The first film of the series was set to premiere in September 2020 but was unfortunately postponed to 8th January 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The second film will be released on February 11th, 2021.
According to an announcement on Twitter, the first “Pretty Guardians Sailor Moon Eternal” anime film is 80 minutes long.
Toei Animation is distributing the film and co-producing it along with Studio DEEN. The film marks 25 years since the franchise last screened any of their work in Japan’s theaters.
The new cast members for the films include Shouta Aoi as Fish Eye, Satoshi Hino as Tiger’s Eye, and Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Hawk’s Eye.
The cast for the Amazoness Quartet characters was also revealed last month.
The official website for the Sailor Moon franchise began streaming footage from the upcoming two-part anime film project.
The newly revealed clip features Zirconia, the mysterious old woman serving Queen Nehellenia.
The franchise invites its audience to guess who provides the voice for Zirconia’s character.
Those who guess and post the correct answer to the movies’ official Twitter account will win three teaser posters. The contest will be active until October 23rd, 2020.

Bishōjo Senshi Sērā Mūn or Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon is based on the anime of the same name.
