On January 30, the official website for the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos the Movie, the two-part anime film project adapting the final “Shadow Galactica” arc of Naoka Takeuchi’s original Sailor Moon manga, released a new trailer and visual for the films.
The trailer previews the film’s theme song, “Tsuki no Hana” (Moon Flower) by Daoko. The films will release in Japan on June 9 and June 30 this year.
The anime stars Saori Hayami as Taiki Kō/Sailor Star Maker, Marina Inoue as Seiya Kō/Sailor Star Fighter, and Ayane Sakura as Yaten Kō.
The cast members include Nana Mizuki as Princess Kakyū, Megumi Hayashibara as Sailor Galaxia, and Kotono Mitsuishi as Chibi Chibi.
Both films will be directed by Tomoya Takahashi at Toei Animation, with Kazuyuki returning as the scriptwriter. Kazuko Tadano is slated to serve as the character designer, and Yasuharu Takanashi will return to compose the music for the anime. Yumiko Soraga is the art director.

Bishōjo Senshi Sērā Mūn or Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon is based on the anime of the same name.
It follows the story of a 14-year-old girl, Usagi Tsukino, who is clumsy and underachieving. One day, she encounters a magical talking cat named Luna, who gives her the ability to transform into her magical alter ego, Sailor Moon.
Reluctant towards this colossal transformation, Usagi soon accepts her fate as she goes on a quest to defeat the evil forces of the Dark Kingdom.
