Ahead of Free Guy’s release, Ryan Reynolds took to social media to answer the internet’s most asked questions. Reynolds posted a short video answering some commonly googled questions about Free Guy.
Considering how Twitter is basically just Reynolds’ unofficial comedy show, the answers mainly were all poking fun at the questions more than actually answering them. However, he still provided some insights.
Reynolds called Free Guy ‘Jodie Comer’s new film’ and teased YouTuber Jacksepticeye’s secret role as one of the many surprises in the film.

Reynolds also answered a question regarding ‘free download’ and said that those who try to pirate it should ‘enjoy the malware.’
The film will release in the theatres, and Reynolds added ‘Definitely NOT STREAMING’ as due to the pandemic, all the big movies have either had day-and-date releases or gone straight to streaming.
This is funny considering the fact that Disney has acquired the film and plans to stream it on Disney+ 45 days after its release. Free Guy’s release will come a week after James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad makes its theatrical debut.
Free Guy had been delayed for a whole year due to COVID-19. Recent early reviews have also raised anticipation and expectations for its release. Free Guy is an upcoming sci-fi action comedy starring Reynolds, Jodie Comer, Lil Rel Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Joe Keery, and Taika Waititi.
The story revolves around an unintentional hero as the title character (Reynolds), who becomes self-aware that he exists in an open-world video game when new character Molotov Girl (Jodie Comer) arrives on the scene.
Early reviews for Free Guy are all positive, with critics calling it funny and heart-warming. One tweet even called it a mix of ‘Tron and The Truman Show.’ I don’t know about you, but that definitely piqued my interest.
