2. Episode 9 Speculation
Ron has figured out the method behind the murder, thanks to Onodera’s interruption. Now, all that is left for him is to reveal the culprit. Toto will now take over and explain both the murders and uncover the culprit.
As Onodera died as soon as she turned the switch on, the fishing line must have been attached to it to trigger the gunshot. In the same way, Grizzly also pulled on the fishing line, causing him to die. However, since the gun was confiscated, it is still unknown how it caused the second murder. Ron and Toto will unveil the crime together.
3. Recap of Episode 8
Episode 8 of ‘Ron Kamonohashi’ is titled “The Case of the Observatory Murder Part 2”. The police were called to report Onodera’s murder, but they could only arrive the following day. Meanwhile, Toto looks around the crime scene to find more evidence to help Ron. He notes how all the lights were shot. Since Ron is a bad shot, he could not have done it.

Grizzly takes everyone’s testimony, and they say the last time Onodera was seen was 11 pm, and the gunshot was heard at 1 am. Within that time, everyone except Ron has an alibi to prove their innocence. Despite all the proof, Toto still believes in Ron as Ron is his friend. Grizzly is surprised at their friendship as the Ron he knew would never let anyone close.
Toto shares his observations with Grizzly, telling him how the recording is only a dark dome as the lights are shot out. Grizzly realizes something important that he missed. He gives the keys to Ron’s handcuffs to Toto, asking him to tell Ron everything. Grizzly realizes that Ron is not the culprit, and the case might be like the one ten years ago.
Ron thanks Toto for proving his innocence, but Toto still does not understand how that happened. Ron explains that committing the crime in the darkness would have been impossible. Ron was sleepy because he was drugged. They set out to find the actual culprit. Meanwhile, Grizzly finds a fishing line at the crime screen.
Ron and Toto realize that the murder was intricately planned out. Just as Toto reveals that Grizzly wants to reinvestigate Ron’s Bloody Training Incident again, another gunshot is heard. Ron and Toto see Grizzly’s body falling from their window. Grizzly’s last words are, “It’s a trap.” Ron and Toto find him too late as he already passed away.
Ron notices a fishing line in his hand. Toto starts retaking everyone’s testimony. No one has an alibi, and everyone starts freaking out. Ron is livid, and he is determined to find the culprit. While investigating, they find out that Onodera got shot after she turned on the switch to open the dome. After Orihime’s interruption, Ron has all the clues to solve the case.
