A mystery begins at the Benizome Hot Springs in episode 3 of Ron Kamonohashi titled “The Case of the Benizome Hot Spring Murder (Part 1).”

BLUE realizes that Ron has continued doing detective work again and sends an agent to investigate him. At the supermarket, Toto and Ron luckily win a raffle prize for a vacation at the Benizome Hot Springs. They take a taxi to the resort and find an extremely shady inn.

They take their time relaxing at the inn and meet and interact with everybody else, including Amamiya. In the morning, they all wake up to a woman’s scream.

2. Episode 4 Speculation

The mystery has finally begun with the murder of Sachiko at the Hot Springs. Ron already knows what happened, and the others await him to reveal it. The BLUE agent planted this entire situation, including the raffle win, which seems too good to be a coincidence.

The game of LIFE that they played the previous night is likely essential to the investigation. Ron had already taken precautions and gathered information before the murder even happened. The most likely result is that the BLUE agent was the one who killed her, or it could be suicide.

The BLUE board reviewed Ron’s case file and suspension multiple years ago. They need to investigate whether Ron has continued detective work again, and one of the detective volunteers for the task. If they find Ron has returned to work, they will be forced to kill him.

Toto rushes to help Ron as he calls in distress at the supermarket. Toto pays for cat food, and on the walk back, they win a raffle. The prize is a vacation to the Benizome hot springs, and the two agree to go. Later during the day, they take a taxi to the annex block of the inn.

It looks highly suspicious and run-down, and the man from BLUE steps out to welcome them in. He plays around with Toto, but Ron immediately calls him out. After settling in, they relax in the hot springs and talk about the legends of the hot springs.

Ron brings out a board game at supper and invites everybody to play. Toto puts a pin on that plan, and they focus on their food instead. After that, they find a ping pong table and lose the ball out of the window in the first serve. After that, they head back to the hot springs, and Amamiya walks in.

She gets embarrassed and heads back to the room after drinks. After dinner, Ron decides this is the perfect time for everyone to play the LIFE board game. After having a lot of fun, everybody heads to bed.

The whole inn is alerted in the morning by a woman’s scream. Amamiya steps in immediately and asks what happened. She takes her to the hot springs while Ron and Toto follow. They find Sachiko’s body floating in the water. Amamiya deduces she died last midnight, and Ron immediately gets into detective mode.
