Role-Playing Game Blue Archive To Inspire An Anime Series

Fans of the popular military-combat RPG game Blue Archive can finally feel relieved as an anime adaptation is now officially confirmed. Fans have demanded the anime adaptation since the release of the animated videos in the past two months.

On Sunday, a live-streamed video by Yostar and Nexon Games announced that an anime series, titled Blue Archive The Animation had been approved. While the production has begun, more information about the staff and cast will be revealed soon.

Last month, the official YouTube channel for Blue Archive released a promo video to commemorate the franchise’s 1st anniversary. Before that, a short, titled Beautiful Day Dreamer was released.

Both videos were animated by Yostar, so it is safe to assume that they will produce the series as well.

The story in the game is set in Kivotos, a city where the academies are divided into several districts, with most of them being independent. The General Student Council manages them all until one day, the council’s president disappears.

The player character is a teacher known as Sensei, who is an advisor to the Federal Investigation Club ‘Schale’ and helps the Council with the incidents happening in Kivotos.

Blue Archive was developed by Yostar Japan and NAT Games (renamed Nexon Games), a subsidiary of Nexon. The role-playing game was initially released on February 4, 2021, on Android and iOS. It was released globally on November 8, 2021.
