If you weren’t planning to attend the virtual DC FanDome, you might want to reconsider—especially since Robert Pattinson has confirmed that The Batman will have many reveals during the event.
His little teaser comes via Variety’s interview during the Academy Museum’s premier party, where Pattinson answered a few other questions.
About The Batman, in particular, he asks fans to look forward to DC FanDome for which, he and Zoe Kravitz may have filmed something special.
Me and Zoë did some stuff. It’s a fun little thing. There are lots of little surprises for it.

Pattinson also adds that he has seen some parts of the movie, which he deems pretty cool. Way to rub it in for the rest of us who have to wait till March 4, 2022!
Noting how the movie was first unveiled at last year’s FanDome, it may not be too far off to expect a full-length trailer this year, as per recent speculations. Fingers crossed for a cast panel as well.
In addition, Matt Reeves, the movie’s director, writer, and producer, is also rumored to be present. Reeves has previously revealed how the movie will focus on Gotham’s systemic corruption rather than simply going behind one big baddie. Given Batman’s family history, it should make for a compelling take on the intricacies of justice and morality.
Reeves’ The Batman will function as a standalone and looks at a younger Caped Crusader, who is still only at the beginning of his superhero journey. Reeves expressed that he wanted to explore Batman’s detective side through this process.
While we may get to see more of Reeves’ vision at FanDome, I would also very much like to see the villains outlined a little bit. With Paul Dano’s Riddler and Colin Farrell’s Penguin in the shadows, an inexperienced but determined Batman will certainly have his hands full.
DC FanDome will be taking place on October 16. Don’t forget to tune in!
