Have you been missing the slice-of-life comedy series Asobi Asobase? The manga finished last year in November. Moreover, no news about a second anime season has been out. It was a slice-of-life in the truest sense, with random happenings in the Pastimers Club.
But the author is soon releasing a manga that might have much more similarity than just the author’s name.
On Tuesday, the ninth issue of Futabasha’s Manga Action magazine was released. It revealed that Rin Suzukawa, the creator of Asobi Asobase, is launching a new manga series titled Outsider Paradise.
The new manga will debut in the 11th issue on May 16. The story is about a weird and a little funny group of high school girls.
From the description, we can say that this will be a school drama too, but with high-school girls, and it will also be a seinen comedy series.
This sounds great! Although I hope it is a fresh story and does not bring back the characters from Asobi Asobase, it would be fine either way. The short story format would be worth continuing.
About Asobi Asobase: Workshop Of Fun
Asobi Asobase is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Rin Suzukawa. An anime television series adaptation by Lerche aired in Japan from July to September 2018.
The series centers on Hanako, Olivia and Kasumi, the only three members of the Pastimers Club, a not officially recognized club.
The club has very ambiguous goals, usually consisting of whatever so-called “pastimes” the girls happen to think up. Watch over these three girls’ surreal school-life comedy.
