Japan has a unique way of utilizing anime and manga to promote mundane things in life. Be it a detergent or a pudding, all everyday products have probably collaborated with a popular series. But this collaboration with Jujutsu Kaisen has blown everyone’s mind, literally.
Ever since we saw Satoru Gojo use his “Infinity” powers against Jogo, everyone wanted to know how that worked. Although we do have a vague explanation from Gojo, much is left to the imagination of the fans.
But this might not be the explanation everyone had hoped for.
The Japanese scientific research institute RIKEN’s Deep Learning theory team has collaborated with Jujutsu Kaisen to publish an article about Satoru Gojo’s cursed techniques in Jump GIGA’s Summer 2021 Issue.
The article mathematically breaks down Satoru Gojo’s cursed techniques. This might get a bit technical, but here’s a brief summary:
His cursed techniques, Red and Blue, basically converge and diverge space around him. This helps him control gravity and the cursed energy around him. It also explains his floating and pseudo teleportation powers.
According to Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity, he can also create Gravitational Frequency and Time Shifts by alternating between both techniques, basically his infinity power.
Explaining how Jogo felt in Gojo’s domain and why he is the strongest! (phew)
Going deeper into the article, the mathematical explanations also seem to be like Gojo’s power. The deeper you go, the less you understand.
This might be too much for most people, but for the maths enthusiasts out there, all five of them, this must be a treat. Even for us mere mortals, this is awesome.
