Rick and Morty Season 2 Episode 4 Recap & Speculation: That’s Amorte

Rick and Morty season 7 has been delivering some of the most hilarious and twisted episodes ever. The alcoholic psychopath and his insecure grandson will come back next week with amorous delusions of love on their agenda.

Love is what Rick defines as a chemical reaction that compels animals to breed. However, things will get hilariously messed up when his long-lost daughter knocks at his doorstep next week.

1. Episode 4 Synopsis/Speculation

Before diving into my predictions, let’s take a look at the official synopsis of season 7, episode 4:

A sociopathic scientist arrives at his daughter’s doorstep 20 years after disappearing and moves in with her family, setting up a laboratory in the garage and taking his grandson on wild adventures across the universe.

Next week’s episode will show how Rick suddenly returned to his daughter Beth after 20 years and set up a full-fledged lab in their garage. 

I expect the episode to be an explosive family drama answering many secrets about Rick’s past life. It’ll be fascinating to know how the Rick-and-Morty dynamic began in the first place and the start of Rick’s adventures with his grandson. 

Besides family drama, I expect to see a lot of spaghetti because the 30-second promo features nothing but that!

Rick and Morty might go to a planet where spaghetti is the only energy source, and the residents worship spaghetti as God. 

However, things will spiral pretty fast as Rick will make fun of their spaghetti God and will land himself and Morty in perilous trouble!

5.  Rick and Morty Season 7 Episode 3 Recap

In this week’s episode, Rick explores his relationship with his therapist, Dr. Wong, and his ex-lover, Unity.

The episode begins with Rick attending Dr. Wong’s session to help him deal with emotional issues. However, it is soon interrupted by the President, who needs Rick’s help in dealing with a weird werewolf-leprechaun-Loch Ness monster hybrid.

Rick reluctantly agrees to help on the condition that Dr. Wong also accompanies them. They head over to Virginia, where they discover that the state is taken over by his ex-lover, Unity.

Unity reveals that she’s returned to Earth because she’s worried about Rick, who has been looking for ‘him’ again.

Unity also confesses that she is in love with Rick but knows they aren’t good for each other.

Rick and the President escape, but Dr. Wong stays back and makes Unity realize she must respect Rick’s boundaries. Elsewhere, Rick and the President have a heart-to-heart conversation and recognize that both are equally lonely.

The episode ends with Rick returning to therapy with Dr. Wong and telling her he’s stopped looking for ‘him.’
