Rick and Morty is back for its sixth season! Following the destruction at the Citadel, Rick and Morty are starving and stranded as the portal gun is still broken. Fortunately, they are rescued by Space Beth.
After being reunited with Summer and regular Beth, Rick attempts to fix his portal gun. However, instead of resetting the portal travel, he ends up resetting the portal travelers. This would mean everyone would get transported back to their original dimensions.

5. Episode 1 Recap
After the destruction of the Citadel in the Season 5 finale, Rick and Morty are stranded and on the brink of starvation and have come to accept their impending deaths.
Fortunately, they are rescued by Space Beth, who brings them home. They are reunited with Regular Beth and Summer.
Morty attempts to fix his portal gun by restoring the fluid but messes up and causes everyone to be sent back to their original realities. Rick instructs Summer to send a beacon from the Citadel so they can all reunite.
Rick arrives in his original timeline where he hears the voice of his dead wife. He forgot that he constructed this when he “wanted to be haunted.” Morty arrives in a post-apocalyptic nightmare. The two Beths and Summer head to the Citadel to find a way to send the signal.
While Rick is in space, he hears Summer calling out to him as she and the two Beths successfully install the beacon. However, the two Beths end up getting swallowed by one of the creatures.
