Here’s the trailer:
The game revolves around the Royal Selection arc from the anime’s first season and will contain new “What-if”, situations which will be plotlines supervised by the light novel’s author Tappei Nagatsuki. Along with the returning characters, new ones designed by Shinichirou Otsuka will also be added to the game.
Spike Chunsoft describes the game by stating how, a month after Subaru’s life in another life began, and during the royal selection, a new sixth candidate claimed their stake in the throne.
But, the dragon prophecizes that only five candidates will be chosen, implying that there’s an imposter among the candidates. (Really getting the Among Us vibes, aren’t we?)
Due to Emilia’s notoriety, she’s the one who becomes the target for all the blame, and now it’s up to Subaru to prove her legitimacy.
While the game takes on a super old arc of the story at this point, it’ll certainly be worth checking out when it drops on all the stores in Japan on January 28th, in North America on January 29th, and in Europe on February 5th for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
