Re: Zero is back with its latest installment of the anime, and the latest episode had a slightly longer runtime of 28 minutes. The entire episode, titled “Regulus Corneas,” was unsurprisingly fully dedicated to the fight against Regulus, and fans finally got to see one of the most hated antagonists of the series being used to mop the floor by Emilia and Subaru.

Episode 13 of Re: Zero season 3 will be released on Wednesday, the 5th of March 2025. It can be streamed through its official sources like Crunchyroll.

2. Re: Zero Season 3 Episode 12 Recap
The 12th episode of Re: Zero season 3 started with Emilia rushing to the cathedral to try and find Regulus’ weakness. She asked the wife who had helped her out earlier to fight with her to stop Regulus. She responded really negatively to this and let Emilia know that she didn’t desire anything more than to live, and since Regulus gave her permission to do that, she’d rather stay with Regulus. Emilia, however, wasn’t going to take no for an answer, so she used her cuteness and charisma, as usual, to convince all the wives to stand up against Regulus. Interestingly, it didn’t take them much persuasion, and it turned out that every one of his wives really despised him to their core.
After they all reached the same page, Emilia brainstormed ideas on how to defeat Regulus while also trying to figure out his weakness. Eventually, Emilia, with the help of her lesser spirits found out that Regulus stuck pieces of his heart within many of the wives, which was the secret of his immortality. This creeped all his wives out so much that they all were ready to commit suicide in a heartbeat. Only they didn’t, as Emilia stopped them in the nick of time and froze them all entirely to stop their hearts. That was the only way for her to defeat Regulus without sacrificing the lives of these innocent women.
Meanwhile, Regulus was having the time of his life playing around with Subaru. At some point, Subaru realized what Regulus’ ability was, and Regulus happily admitted to him, too, since he got too cocky seeing Subaru lying on the ground helplessly. It was around this time that Emilia froze all of Regulus’ wives. Right after this, she rushed in from miles away to help Subaru. However, her attacks still didn’t seem to work on Regulus. This was when they realized that Regulus attached a part of his heart to Emilia, too, which was an interesting choice as he chose to plant a part of him into a woman that he called an adulteress.
Luckily, Subaru had the authority of the sloth with him, so he used the unseen hand to enter Emilia’s body and destroy Regulus’ heart, which, funnily enough, Regulus didn’t even notice. After this, Emilia took her sweet time to give him every bit of the torture his fifty-three wives wanted to give him. This was one of the rare instances where Emilia actually felt hate and anger toward a person, and it sure was refreshing as Regulus deserved every bit of the 53 punches Emilia gave him.
Finally, Regulus came back after his short trip to the moon. He was Regulus’ final opponent, and… let’s just say we got to see just how low and pathetic Regulus could get with all the crying and lamenting. Regardless, he was sent into the sky, and was then sent crashing back into the earth, where he miserably cried and insulted Emilia and the others.
3. What To Expect In Episode 13 of Re: Zero Season 3?
The latest episode of Re: Zero season 3 ended with Regulus getting defeated by Subaru and Co. Considering the way it ended, we can suspect his return at some point, just like how Petelguese popped up right after he was defeated by Subaru in the previous season. We got to see a glimpse of Wilhelm fighting his wife, so we can expect the next episode to revolve around them, which makes it unlikely for Regulus to have an appearance soon.
It was only Wilhelm and Theresia who had appeared in the latest episode, so we still don’t know if Garfiel is alive after the debris fell on him. One can hope the status of all the battles to improve now that Reinhard is on the move to other districts.

Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World is a Japanese light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichirou Otsuka.
The plot is based on Subaru Natsuki, the protagonist who gets sucked into a fantasy world on his way home from the convenience store. He gets attacked by a group of thugs and is beaten to a pulp immediately, but this girl from the fantasy world named Satella saves him.
