Episode 20 of Re:ZERO Season 2 focused on the Subaru, Otto and Garfiel’s mission of apprehending Elsa.
The three arrived at the mansion only to find Elsa waiting for them. Subaru managed to rescue Petra and even convinced Beatrice to follow the team.
Meanwhile, Emilia underwent the second phase of trial while Ram tried to convince Roswaal to get rid of his delusional love for Edchina.
Ram quickly realized Roswaal’s plan to set eternal winter and got ready to face him with Puck by her side.
1. Episode 22 Predictions and Speculations
Episode 21 showed us how Ram gave up hopes of convincing Roswaal and instead readied up for a battle. The fans predict that Episode 22 will feature Ram and Puck’s fight against Roswaal.
We will also get to witness the epic fight between Garfiel and Elsa and even see more of Emilia’s powers. The fans are also looking forward to Subaru and Emilia’s reunion once she is done with the magical trials.

Episode 22 of the Re:Zero Season 2 anime will be released on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021 only for Crunchyroll Premium users. Regular users can watch Episode 22 on 10th March, 2021.
Since this anime runs on a weekly schedule, new episode releases are seven days apart.

3. Episode 21 Recap
Subaru and Otto were getting ready to face Elsa who was terrorizing the mansion when Garfiel insisted on accompanying them.
As the three packed up for the trip, Subaru tells Ram to look after Emilia and gives her the pendant.
Later, as soon as Emilia gets out of the ruins after finishing her first trial, Ram greets her and congratulates her on finishing it.
Ram informs them that she is witnessing a whole different side of Emilia. Emilia has matured in Ram’s eyes and Ram truly believes Emilia can help her get rid of Roswaal’s 400 years old delusions about Edchina.
As the two ladies converse, Roswaal appears and mocks Emilia and belittles her. Roswaal even goes as far as to say that Subaru is also delusional of his love for Emilia.
Although, Emilia does not let Roswaal’s fake words shake her beliefs. She defends her love for Subaru and counters Roswaal’s claims of knowing Subaru’s true nature.
Emilia soon leaves for her second trial leaving Ram with Roswaal. Roswaal wants to cast eternal winter upon the land and summon the Great Rabbit but Ram stands in his way accompanied by Puck.
Later, Subaru arrives at the mansion and saves a fleeing Petra. While Subaru is saving Petra, Garfiel uses his shield to protect his sister from Elsa’s attack.
The episode ends with the reunion of the brother and sister as they gear up for a powerful fight with Elsa.

The plot is based on Subaru Natsuki, the protagonist who gets sucked into a fantasy world on his way home from the convenience store.
