We begin the second season of the anime Re: Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu.

The season 2 will continue the story from where it ended in season 1 after Emilia is announced as a candidate for becoming the Ruler of the Kingdom and Subaru chosen to be her Knight.

Targeting Emilia, the half-elf, we will see new Sins from the Witch’s Cult getting involved. This season will dive deeper into Satella’s relationship with Subaru.

Is Re:Zero S2 on a Break this Week?

No, episode 30 of the Re: Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu Season 2 anime will be released as per its schedule; so far, no such delay is announced.

The anime comes out weekly every Wednesday.

2. Episode 30 Preview & Speculation

The preview for the next Episode 30 was not shown, nor its title revealed at the end of episode 29.

Still, we are speculating after Subaru has confided in his parents and is no longer hiding under uncertainty, he will complete his trail with full support from his parents.

We will see the meeting between Subaru and the white-haired witch who has been waiting for him in his classroom. Even if Subaru has completed the Sanctuary’s trial, Emilia is yet to face hers.

The next episode will be Emilia’s trial, and we will get her backstory about why she was outcasted by the people around her and made to believe she was Satella.

I. Back Home

Episode 29, titled “Parent and Child,” begins with Subaru waking up in his old room, and engaging in a stretching battle with his father.

They get interrupted by his mother, who calls them to have breakfast with her. After no one wanting the bowl of green peas, it gets passed around the table and lands in papa Subaru’s place.

The Subaru family has a mix of Japanese and Western dishes for breakfast and end up finishing the green peas miserably.

However, after their fun family, banter Subaru refuses to go to school and heads back to his room.

He feels a sudden pang of pain spread through his chest and fixates on the clock as the minute hand strikes 12; he feels relieved and reassures himself that if he leaves at 8 a.m., he will be late for school anyway. He goes for a morning walk with his father outside.

II. What he must do?

While talking with one of their neighbors, Subaru again feels the deadly pain in his head and chest, so he excuses himself.

Subaru rests on a park bench, and while talking with his dad (Ken), he hears Emilia’s voice call his name.

Without beating around the bush, Subaru tells his dad how he feels about not going to school, his dad offers him supporting words, and Subaru’s pain worsens in the middle of the father-son conversation.

He vaguely recalls Emilia but not the memories of her, Subaru keeps questioning “who are you?” to her apparition. But finally remembers everything his fears and Emilia’s kindness too.

Subaru tells his dad he has found a girl he likes and that he will be okay. He pours his heart out while confiding to his father about the difficulties he felt as a child up to high school. 

III. Mother knows best

After hearing Subaru, his father doesn’t hold back his passion and love for his son and knocks sense into Subaru’s head.

Subaru gains motivation after his emotional breakdown and puts on his uniform. Subaru walks to school with his mom, and while talking, he gets surprised at how well his mother can understand his mind.

She tells him he must do best in his way, and he is already doing well living up to expectations.

His parents understand the reason for his parting with them, and Subaru finally reaches school.

He opens the classroom door and meets a fair-haired girl who questions what confronting his past did for him?

The Re: Zero − Starting Life in Another World anime television is an adaptation of a light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichirou Otsuka.

The series is directed by Masaharu Watanabe and written by Masahiro Yokotani, with animation by the studio White Fox.

Kyuta Sakai is serving as both character designer and as chief animation director. It follows the story of Subaru Natsuki, who is a NEET and does nothing but play games.

One night, after visiting a convenience store, he is suddenly summoned to another world.

With no sign of who summoned him, he soon befriends a silver-haired half-elf girl named Emilia and her companion, Puck.

The second season continues from where the story left off in the first.
