If there’s one theatre-related anime that intrigues me the most, it’s Revue Starlight. The story packs a lot of dramatic outlandish energy, and the director Tomohiro Furukawa has perfectly captured that essence in the anime.
To put it simply, Furukawa understood the assignment in a way most people can’t. He presented this mesmerizing story with complicated characters immaculately.
How excited would you be if I told you that Furukawa is working on an anime of his own?
Revue Starlight’s director Tomohiro Furukawa has revealed an untitled anime in the works with an eccentric PV. More information regarding the project will be disclosed later.
The unusually colorful and groovy PV leaves the viewers confused about what precisely the anime is about. So far, I can only infer that it plays along with the themes of love and cobras, which is yet another unusual combination.
In the background, we hear a short and intriguing conversation, after which a red cobra, with a heart for its right eyeball, appears on the screen.
The red cobra is accompanied by the numbers’ 2021′ and ‘1202’ on both sides.
The anime’s official Twitter account doesn’t have a name yet but has a username ‘lovecobralove,’ which further shrouds it in more mystery. Is it a love story between cobras? Or a shapeshifting cobra? No one knows this except Tomohiro.
Knowing Tomohiro and his work, I am sure this new anime will be something no one ever expected. If not that, it will surely be something worthwhile.
The PV has already lit a fire of thrill and curiosity, and I can’t wait to know what it’s all about.
