Nio’s past is revealed, and the mystery surrounding Nio deepens further in episode 5 of Revengers, titled “Love Never Dies”. A group of traveling performers known as the Doan Company arrives in Nagasaki. The head, Doan, asks Usui to give Nio back to him and refers to Nio as a beast. Usui refuses.
The company starts abducting kids from the mountains, and Hana’s friends are also abducted. Nio sets it up so that they get bitten gold to take revenge against the company. After their revenge is done, Soji buys castella cake for Nio.

1. Episode 6 Speculation:
Episode 6 is titled “Adversary Advent”. Raizo is slowly beginning to get used to working as a revenger while doing art on the side. The series will continue with its somewhat episodic format, and the revengers will get another job next episode. It seems that they may come across some new interesting characters.
The story behind the Revengers’ members is slowly being unraveled one by one. We might soon see the story behind Teppa and Soji and how they came across Usui. Usui is also heavily shrouded in mystery, and it seems like he may have to face some past skeletons soon.

3. Recap of Episode 5:
A group of eccentric traveling performers named Doan Company arrives in Nagaski to perform in front of people. The head, Doan, comes across Weasel and Badger, twins and Hana’s friends, and abducts them.
Soji expresses his amazement at Raizo being able to paint when he has always held a sword. Raizo tells him how he found similarities between the two. Soji tells him not to try to be like Usui. Hana arrives and tells them that her friends are missing.
Soji and Raizo go to the mountain to look for the twins. The kite battle is being held nearby, and Soji tells Raizo how he bet everything on Nio. Doan meets Usui and asks him to give Nio back to him.
Usui gets annoyed that Doan is referring to Nio inhumanely and rejects him. Nio is doing well at the battle, but their concentration gets disturbed when they see Doan, and their kite is claimed by someone else.
Soji and Raizo tell Usui about the missing children, and he tells them that it is probably Doan’s doing since they collect different children to make them perform. Usui further tells them that Nio used to be part of the company, and he brought Nio under his care. Soji gets frustrated when he hears that Doan is why Nio lost in the kite battle.
Doan looks at the twins and sends them away to be caged. Nio visits Doan. The snake lady from the group takes care of the captured children. Nio arrives near the cages and, after hearing Weasel and Badger saying they want to go back, gives them a gold coin.
Nio brings the bitten coin to the group to carry out their job as revengers. Usui is suspicious, but Soji convinces them to take the job. Nio dresses up to meet with Doan and tells Usui that they wouldn’t have to do this if Usui had killed Doan before. Usui tells Nio that he is determined to adhere to his moral rules.
Soji, Raizo, and Teppa fights and takes down the rest of the performers. Usui secretly throws the cages’ keys to the snake woman, who is desperate to save the children. Nio kills Doan.
The snake woman takes the children with her. Raizo visits Hana’s mother’s grave with her and the twins. Soji buys an expensive castella cake for Nio. Nio tells him that there was no point to t them setting up the whole thing if Soji was going to use a major chunk of his money for the cake. Soji is surprised that Nio was behind everything.
Usui and Teppa discuss Nio, and Usui remarks that he wants Nio to live like a human being.
4. About Revenger
Revenger is a new original anime by Nitroplus and Shochiku. It is about a swordsman who is out to fight the cruel people out there.
Not much about the plot and other details have been revealed yet. The hero’s tagline is “I cut down people in order to fight against a cruel fate.”
