Requiem of the Rose King touches on the sensitive topic of non-binary gender identity with an intersex protagonist born in ancient England and it continues to build on the concept in the second half of the series.
The show’s dark twist makes way for the second half with new characters and a new song.
Requiem of the Rose King anime’s second half trailer previews new characters, cast, and a song titled “Bara Rinbukyoku” (Rose Briar Rondo) by Makoto Furukawa. He had also performed the opening theme song for the series first half.
The trailer gives a sad spooky vibe with the chilling music and song from Makoto Furukawa. It goes on to portray the new characters and cast which will greatly impact and shape the series second half.
Six new characters will come into play in the second part of the series as follows:
Sir James Tyrell
Sir James Tyrell is a mysterious hitman with a wound on his left eye. No one knows his real name.
Jane Shore
Jane Shore is a beautiful woman with a bewitching charm. She enters Edward IV and uses dubious medicine to corrupt the court.
Richmond
Richmond is the Duke of Richmond. He is a survivor of the Lancaster faction.
Anthony Woodville
Anthony Woodville is the younger brother of Elizabeth.
Thomas Grey
Thomas Grey is the Marquess of Dorset. He is the son of Elizabeth and John Gray.
Sir Richard Grey
Sir Richard Grey is the son of Elizabeth and John Gray. He is Thomas’s younger brother.

I’m curious to see how the new cast and characters set up the game in bringing Richard closer to the throne and I also wonder who will go against him.
