The dark fantasy story of Requiem of the Rose King is now streaming with the plot set during the bloody “Wars of the Roses.” Richard keeps getting into a situation where his feelings get hurt, and it’s sad to watch it happen.

Episode 5 Recap
This episode starts with Edward of York revealing that Elizabeth is his wife. Warwick is astonished and tells him he cannot undo the alliance with the King of France after settling his marriage. With Edward not willing to change his decision, Elizabeth becomes Queen of York.
A controversial talk starts within the kingdom of the lowly background of Elizabeth’s family. Warwick, under the circumstances, goes along with Edward’s decision but has an ulterior motive to replace the throne.
George feels absurd that Edward made such a decision with Elizabeth and is annoyed that Richard knew about it. Richard knows he isn’t siding anyone yet faces such events. He meets the Duke of Buckingham and finds his talks intriguing.
The Duke says that anyone can take the crown with Edward’s action and tells Richard to try to be king. Richard doesn’t think of being king with a body like his, but his father’s voice tells him to claim the king’s name.
With Henry captured, Warwick takes Richard away to live in the Middleham Castle. Later, Richard and Anne hang out and demonstrate each other’s skills. After spending time with Anne, Richard feels he’s at ease than when he’s with Henry.
He decides to befriend Anne but not give the wrong impression. Meanwhile, Warwick talks to George to know if he is fit to be the next king. Afterward, when Anne gets sick due to cold weather, Richard accompanies her at her bedside and gets to know each other more.
Later, when Warwick is figuring things out, he knows he can’t rely on George to dethrone the king in his present state. He then talks to Anne, telling her to keep seducing Richard to use him to take over the throne.
Anne objects to this plan as she knows Richard is a kind-hearted person, and she wouldn’t do such a thing to him. She states she won’t marry Richard in such ways. Richard, seen near the room, feels dreadful by what he heard after connecting with Anne.
Warwick feels he’s out of ways to bring a true king from the late king’s sons but is determined to find a way. Afterward, Edward is seen with Elizabeth, who is now pregnant. Elizabeth’s plans are reaching her goal, for she plans to use the offspring to bring Woodvilles to hold power.
Later, Richard contemplates what he heard and feels only blood and darkness will love him. He then falls into the depths of darkness with nothing to look forward to.
