Episode 4 Recap
This episode starts with Edward of Lancaster renouncing Henry as his father because he abandoned him. Margaret then commands Edward to retrieve his majesty, King Henry. She states Henry is crucial for claiming the throne of England.
Afterward, Richard and Edward of York are off for another hunting trip. Richard knows it’s only to preserve the king’s secret that he has to accompany Edward. As they reach a cabin, Edward gives Richard orders on what to say if he meets anyone.
He then requests to stay with him for some time. Richard agrees since it started raining and states once the rain stops, he can leave. They then spend time together in the cabin and get to know each other. Richard questions the encounter with Herny and how it’s affecting his decisions.
As they spend the day in the cabin, Edward and Richard get drunk on wine leading them to a state of intimacy. When Edward tries to kiss Richard, he gets scared due to the lightning and recalls some bad times.
Richard then finds out that Edward plans to marry Elizabeth that very day, raising his concerns. Later as Richard hunts around, he thinks about how love can cause such an impact even on a king. He recalls his last meeting with Henry and knows he won’t meet him again.
Surprisingly, Richard meets Henry out of nowhere. Henry hugs Richard and is happy they met again. Richard finds out that Henry was looking for him all this time because he is his salvation. Henry explains how Richard was his comfort throughout the days of the war.
Later, Richard wakes up and finds Henry gone. When Richard finds Henry, they fall into the river nearby. Meanwhile, Edward of Lancaster approaches the location of Henry to retrieve him. He finds out that Henry is looking for Richard, which catches his interest.
Edward finds Richard at the riverbank, saves him, and hides away. Richard wakes up to Edward, and they spend more time together before they can part ways. Henry wants to know when he will meet Richard again.
Richard replies they shouldn’t meet again, but Henry will meet him someday, given how they still find each other. Later, a mysterious person approaches Henry admiring the scenery with a knife.
Afterward, back at House of York, Edward makes an unexpected announcement that Elizabeth is his new wife. The news shocks everyone, and Richard knows the matter will complicate things for the Yorkist.
