Rent-A-Girlfriend, one of the most successful rom-com anime out there, is going to be back this summer, and I can’t tell you how excited I am for it. I hope Kazuya can finally pick up the courage to confess to Chizuru, otherwise fans might just die of frustration.
Our favorite rental girlfriend, Chizuru, will be back once again with her indomitable charm and ultra cuteness. This season, Sumi will also get a bit of the spotlight, as her feelings for Kazuya will flourish.
Now, prepare your popcorn buckets because Rent-A-Girlfriend season 2 has just confirmed its release date, July 2, 2022. Crunchyroll might once again stream the anime, just like its first season.

The promotional video starts with Chizuru telling Kazuya that she will be going out with him for the day, so he shouldn’t hesitate. (I also hope that the dude stops hesitating before speaking about urgent matters.)
To which Kazuya, very obviously, blushes from head to toe. Some of the other scenes show what she is up to on an everyday basis.
Another date visual of Chizuru is also out in which she holds a churro. It looks like an amusement park date, and I hope her partner doesn’t mess up again.
In season 2 of Rent-A-Girlfriend, Chizuru might plan to quit being a rental girlfriend to pursue a career in acting. Can Kazuya tell her about his feelings before she quits? Or will he back out once again and settle with being just a neighbor? The upcoming season has too many explanations due.

Rent-A-Girlfriend, also known as Kanojo, Okarishimasu, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since July 2017 and has been compiled into thirty volumes as of February 2023.
A spinoff manga “Rent-A-(Really Shy!)-Girlfriend” which focuses on the character Sumi is also in serialization since June 21, 2020. An anime television series adaptation by TMS Entertainment premiered in July 2020 in the Animeism block.
Kazuya Kinoshita is dumped by his girlfriend, Mami Nanami, after dating for about a month. He then decides to use an online app to rent a girlfriend named Chizuru Mizuhara, a beautiful and attractive girl.
The story moves on as their lives become complicated and entangled with each other. Later, other girls from the girlfriend business also join in dating and showing interest in Kazuya.
