Episode 4 Speculation

Episode 3 Recap

As Kazuya lies on his bed, writing a review for Chizuru’s services as a rental girlfriend after their date and hospital session, a knock comes at his door. Seeing Chizuru stand there, averting his gaze, he is shocked.

Kazuya is shocked to learn that she has lost her keys to the flat as she looks at the ground. She couldn’t contact a locksmith since it was after business hours. In addition, she has nowhere to go since her landlord is also not home.

Despite this, Kazuya tries his best to remain calm and not overreact. While holding the door, Chiruzu casually walks in, and he wonders what she could be expecting from him in such a situation. It appears that Chizuru has not cleaned the room in quite some time, as the room appears to be upside down.

Her gaze cannot help but turn toward him as he watches the apartment and thinks about a thousand things. If she spends the night at his apartment, he wonders whether it is okay for him.

In Kazuya’s opinion, this is a chance he should not miss, since it is very likely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. As Chizuru gathered the courage to speak, he realized the balcony door was open. She wants to give her balcony door another chance, even though she knows it’s closed.

Nevertheless, Chizuru almost falls over when she leans against the wall to reach the other side. In spite of Kazuya’s best efforts, he holds Chizuru in an inappropriate manner, which enrages her.

Upon asking Kazuya to hold her somewhere else, he end up holding her by her hips, resulting in the two of them falling on each other. Seeing how embarrassing this situation is, Kazuya immediately moves away from each other. A knock on the door then distracts them.

Since Kazuya has left the kitchen door unlocked, he stays with Chizuru in the kitchen when he realizes it is Mami. Their suspicions are raised as Mami steps inside, convinced they have screwed up again and will be discovered in a weird situation.

After concluding Kazuya is probably not home, Mami leaves the apartment without checking the entire house. After Mami leaves the apartment complex, Chizuru and Kazuya check to see if she is still there. Chizuru decides to say goodbye to Kazuya after she notices that the landlord’s apartment’s lights are finally on.

As Mami’s ex-boyfriend, Kazuya, is in her apartment, she repeatedly tries to contact him on her way home. In any case, he doesn’t even pick up her call, indicating that he is quite busy.

As Mami recalls Kazuya’s apartment, she notices something peculiar. His bed was littered with a woman’s purse, which was clearly not his.

She may have concluded that Kazuya was either there with someone or left with a girl since he does not receive visits from his relatives. It is undeniable that he was with Chizuru, which is the most likely reason for him to hide in the first scenario.

She might have suspected him more if something interesting had happened the following day at college. It is unclear whether she connected the dots or not.

She appears to be very calculative in her approach and is likely looking for some evidence that solidifies her suspicion, even though this alone is not sufficient evidence to claim she knows Chizuru and Kazuya are dating.
