Rent a Girlfriend fans are getting another season for the awaited journey of Kazuya and Chizuru. After the streaming of the third season, exciting news about the fourth season is out.
More information about the fourth season, along with visual and a captivating video announcement, is out. Rent a Girlfriend manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine since the 12th of July 2017. The new season was announced for the 7th anniversary of the manga. Here’s the information about the new update.
When will Season 4 of Rent a Girlfriend be released
Rent a Girlfriend Season 4 was announced following the 7th anniversary of the original manga serialization. The anime is set to broadcast in 2025, and this was announced via a “special announcement.” The exact dates are not revealed yet.
The announcement was made along with a trailer and a production visual. It was also mentioned that the latest volume of the manga, the 37th volume, will be released on the 17th of July.
Season 4 Special Announcement
The special announcement was made through a trailer combining original illustrations by Reiji Miyajima. The series of illustrations of the original work begins by looking back on memorable scenes from the last season.
The visuals then move onto announce season 4 and some details about it. It then proceeds to show Chizuru, Mami, and Ruka in swimsuits, along with other illustrations from the manga.

Visual is out!
A visual was also released as part of the announcement of Season 4. The visual was drawn by the original author, Reiji Miyajima. The visual portrays the main characters, Kazuya and Chizuru, holding hands, dressed in outfits complementing the upcoming Hawaiian arc of anime.
Chizuru can be seen holding up four fingers while her other hand is intertwined with Kazuya. The background is illustrated with other characters from the show.
Where to Watch Rent a Girlfriend Season 2?
As the former seasons were streamed on Crunchyroll, it is expected that the new season will also be streamed on Crunchyroll. The third season was aired as part of Summer 2023 anime.
Expected Plot
After the touching and transformative events in season 3, the fourth season focuses on the Hawaii Trip arc. It was revealed in the special announcement video that the new season depicts the Hawaiian trip along with the illustrations.
The visual also shows Kazuya and Chizuru wearing clothes matching the Hawaii Trip. More bond formation and development between the Kazuya and Chizuru can be expected.
Recap of Season 3
Season 3 starts with Kazuya and Chizuru making a movie for Sayuri. Their new neighbor is Mini Yaemori, who later helps them with the movie. Kazuya had to explain their plan for the movie to Ruka, who found Chizuru in his room. Kazuya and Chizuru go through their various emotions.
Sayuri got to accompany Chizuru as she and Kazuya had to check out the cinema. Sayuri gets emotional seeing Chizuru on screen. The story proceeds as Sayuri collapses and Chizuru goes through an emotional phase. Sayuri passes away, and Chizuru shut out her emotions and put up a brave face.
Kazuya organizes a date in order to cheer up Chizuru, and he observes how she is trying to hide her emotions. Kazuya revealed his idea of an ideal girlfriend, and later, Chizuru opened up. The screening day was a success, and Kazuya asks if she wants to continue acting to which she replies that she wants to become a star for Sayuri.

Rent-A-Girlfriend, also known as Kanojo, Okarishimasu, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since July 2017 and has been compiled into thirty volumes as of February 2023.
A spinoff manga “Rent-A-(Really Shy!)-Girlfriend” which focuses on the character Sumi is also in serialization since June 21, 2020. An anime television series adaptation by TMS Entertainment premiered in July 2020 in the Animeism block.
Kazuya Kinoshita is dumped by his girlfriend, Mami Nanami, after dating for about a month. He then decides to use an online app to rent a girlfriend named Chizuru Mizuhara, a beautiful and attractive girl.
The story moves on as their lives become complicated and entangled with each other. Later, other girls from the girlfriend business also join in dating and showing interest in Kazuya.
