I. Plot
The documentary chronicles the rise of the famous conspiracy theorist David Icke. Icke was a professional goalkeeper before he was forced to retire due to arthritis. He went on to become a sports presenter and analyst on the BBC. He had a successful stint with the BBC and was fired when he refused to pay the Community Charge, introduced by Margaret Thatcher.
He started indulging in alternative medicine to look for a cure for his ailment. In a bookstore, he claimed that he was overtaken by an invisible force that led him to a psychic, Betty Shine. Shine told him that he had been put on the Earth to save it.
He would receive messages from the spirit world and face constant opposition and ridicule. Still, he must persevere and be the salvation of the people. He also joined the Green Party in the UK and became one of its prominent speakers.
In 1991, at a press conference David Icke announced that he was the Son of the Godhead. He resigned from the Green Party, claiming that he would be the center of significant controversy. He made an appearance on the prime-time talk show Wogan where he was ridiculed by the audience and the host.
The documentary follows his meteoric rise and explores his tours and conspiracy theories. Icke has a massive fan following and has been deemed a threat by many countries and organizations for spreading fake news and panic. He has been shadow-banned multiple times, and his videos have been removed from YouTube. This, he claims, is the Brotherhood fighting against him.
II. Conspiracy Theories
Since then, Icke has become a prominent figure among conspiracy theorists and has gathered a massive online presence. He has written multiple books about his theories that human being are Reptoid Humanoids. He claims to have evidence about the existence of infinite realities from which he gets messages.
Icke believes that the world is run by a Brotherhood of prominent and influential personalities. He claims that the Internet was created by the Pentagon to monitor people and lure them inside with the illusion of giving free information. Now that the Internet has become an essential part of our lives, David says that it is used to hide information from us and control us.
While some of his theories appear believable, most of them are laughable. Icke says that the mass majority of the people are innocent sheep being controlled by a spacecraft, disguised as the moon. He says that politicians create false flag events to get the people’s support.
He has also put forth his opinions about the Covid-19 pandemic, which he claims is linked to the 5G mobile networks. A staunch anti-vaxxer, he believes that it is fascist that people cannot choose what goes into their body and what doesn’t.
