1.Episode 8 Speculations
Episode 8 is titled “The Healer Meets the Demon Lord.” Keyaruga concludes that the course of events has changed as there was no royal expedition in Branicca in his past life. Thus, he is heading towards a future that he is unaware of.
The “Demon Lord” mentioned in the episode title may refer to Eve Reese, the red-eyed demon. She isn’t exactly the demon lord but a candidate to become one someday.
We know how Keyaruga controls and exploits Setsuna by promising her power and supremacy. I think Keyaruga will do something similar to Eve as well.
It’s easy to manipulate someone who aspires to become the Demon Lord someday. He will use Eve for his own benefit in exchange for providing her everything that she lacks to become a Demon Lord.
We have already seen Eve in the theme songs and some previously released visuals, and I hope she has a vital role to play before the first season ends.

Episode 8 of the Redo of Healer anime, titled “The Healer Meets the Demon Lord”, has been released on Wednesday, Mar 03, 2021.
Since this anime runs on a weekly schedule, new episode releases are seven days apart.

3. Episode 7 Recap
Episode 7 continues with the controversial themes of the grimdark adult fantasy series. Keyaruga considers humans to be the most barbaric creatures, but he takes pride in being something worse than that.
I.The Judgement of the Healer
Just when the execution of the villagers was about to begin, the Hero of Recovery, Keyaruga, shows up before the royal soldiers.
However, his true intentions weren’t to save the villagers but to showcase his overwhelming power and set an example of what happens when someone goes against him.
He analyses the week points of the soldiers and starts killing them brutally, one by one. He feels intense pleasure as he gets soaked in the blood of his opponents.
The commander tries to use the villagers as hostages to stop Keyaruga. But that doesn’t stop him from slaughtering the royal guards, and rather he gets even more furious after getting warned.
Keyaruga doesn’t really care for the lives of his villagers. The soldiers start killing the unarmed villagers, and blood drips down their spears, while Keyaru watches and enjoys the sight without any guilt.
Moreover, he calls this madness his ‘justice’ and reveals that the only thing he seeks is revenge. With no other option left, the commander activates the barrier that traps all of them in the Colosseum.
The barrier draws out strength and magic from anyone who is within it. Thus, to protect themselves from getting killed, the soldiers carry a magical pendant that nullifies the barrier’s effect on them.
But surprisingly, everyone having the pendant is crushed to death with the barrier’s activation, thereby resulting in a rainfall of blood in the battle arena.
The audience gets traumatized by witnessing this gruesome scene, but our twisted protagonist enjoys every drop of the blood rain.
II.Return of the First Princess
Flare, the first princess of the Jioral Kingdom, appears before the people in the form of a huge hologram. She explains to the people how Keyaruga has saved her from the cursed life she was living.
However, people find it hard to believe that their princess is still alive. They doubt if it is another trick by the Healer.
Flare breaks all their notions by singing a song before the people and showing a glimpse of her powers. The people recognize her voice instantly and cheer for their princess, who was thought to be dead.
She explains to her subjects how horrible their kingdom is and provokes them to fight for a better future.
This manipulative speech makes the people attack the royal guards and everyone else whom they consider a threat, thereby resulting in a battle royale situation in the Colosseum.
III.Sowing Seeds of Hatred
Keyaruga reveals that someone in the dark has tried to poison all the villagers. But since the poison was slow-acting, he manages to save a boy.
This measure was to ensure that all the villagers die even if Keyaru saved them from getting executed. He believes that only Norn can do such a cruel thing to knock him down the depths of despair.
He wants people to think that he is responsible for what happened to his village. This will nurture a sense of profound hatred within the kid he saved.
He believes that hatred is a necessary tool that helps people to overcome their sorrows and failures.
IV.Journey to a New City
The next day, Keyaruga departs Lanaritta and heads towards the city of Branicca, hoping that he will find the red-eyed demon girl there.
Branicca is a place where humans and demons live peacefully. The concept of ‘demon’ here is a little different from what we see in other anime. Demons here are human-like creatures who can control monsters.
On his way to the new city, Keyaruga celebrates his victory by assaulting and exploiting his two slaves to the fullest, and he hopes that the new city brings him more entertainment.

Redo of Healer is a light novel series written by Tsukiyo Rui and illustrated by Shiokonbu. It began serialization in July 2017 by Kadokawa Shoten.
Keyaru is a healer who is mistreated and exploited by the people around him.
He realized the true potential of healing magic a bit too late and ‘heals’ the world to four years back to redo his life. He gets the philosopher’s stone and defeats the demon king by himself.
