They start discussing about what they should be doing now. Suddenly, they are crushed by a loud noise. Following that noise, zombies start running after them. 

After running for a while, they reach a dead end. Suddenly, someone tells them to get down and fires ignition at the zombies, burning them to non-existence. The unknown man calls them up to his base. 

An announcement is made declaring the final combustion test was successful. The man tells them going to space is all that is left. The man is revealed to be Hirotaja Ukaji, CEO of space development company Star Wrestles Inc.

Everyone is shocked to hear all this. Ukaji has been developing his space program all throughout the pandemic. Akira and Beatrix are amazed to see a real space rocket. 

Ukaji is trying to send humans to outer space with his rockets and achieve Japan’s first civilian-led manned flight to outer space. Ryuuzaki wonders whether this is the right time, Ukaji tells him this is exactly the right time. 

It is necessary for humans to open our minds, expand our reach, and find a solution to save our planet, as civilization is on the brink of extinction. 

Takeru wants to go to outer space, too, but the selection process for the same is tough, and one has to go through years of training. Akira excitedly asks whether he can go to outer space, and Ukaji replies positively, leaving others shocked. 

Ukaji tells them that space is not just for astronauts now. He lists down all the upcoming civilian space projects. He tells them that if his unmanned flight is a success, he will be happy to welcome them all as the first spaceflight passengers of his company. 

Ukaji and his engineers prepare to launch the rocket. The countdown begins, but at the same time, a bolt of one of the fences, barring the zombies from entering, gets loose.

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead is a dystopian horror-comedy manga series written by Haro Aso and illustrated by Kotaro Takata. It has been serialized in Shogakukan’s seinen manga magazine Monthly Sunday Gene-X since October 2018 and is collected into 13 volumes.

The manga was also nominated for the Eisner Award in two categories in 2022.

The story follows a 24-year-old Akira Tendou who has lost all his motivation and spirit due to working for an exploitative company.
