Zom 100 Chapter 61: Release Date, Speculations, Watch Online

Chapter 60 of ‘Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead’ is titled “Horror Mansion of The Dead (3)”. Takeru and Izzy are stuck in the house with nowhere to go while Sugizo hunts them down.

Takeru announces that it’s time to play his type of game, but Izzy says this is no time to gamble. Takeru explains that gambling involves predicting the dealer’s intentions, which he plans to do with Sugizo. After deducing that the back door must be a trap, they run down the corridor.

Eventually, the two come upon the door to the basement again. With Sugizo hot on Takeru and Izzy’s trail, they hide in one of the coffins. When Takeru and Izzy come out, they walk right into Sugizo’s trap.

Now that Takeru and Izzy have gotten some gas from the mansion, the van can finally continue moving. The only issue is that Sugizo has awakened once more in zombie form. However, it’s unlikely that Sugizo will show up soon since the group will be out of the area quickly.

The next chapter will start a new story as they continue driving. It will likely focus on Akira and Shizuka’s newly founded relationship. We can expect a comedic or wholesome chapter next month since Akira and Shizuka will have much time in the van to talk.

II. Sugizo returns

Although unlikely, there is the possibility of Sugizo in zombie form catching up with the van. Especially if the group does not immediately drive away from the mansion. However, there’s no way he will manage to kill anyone since Akira could just run him over and drive away.

Takeru announces that if video game logic isn’t working, it’s time for his kind of game. Izzy asks if Takeru plans on playing Mahjong with the murderers. Takeru explains that in the old days, dealers could manipulate the dice or numbers as they liked to avoid big payouts.

To beat the game, a professional gambler needs to anticipate what the dealer wants. Similarly, Takeru needs to figure out what the masked guy plans next. Since that back door conveniently opened, it’s most likely a trap to lure them outside.

Izzy and Takeru continue hiding in the room while the old man walks out, shouting for Sugizo. The grandpa says that granny’s waiting for her meal and walks out the back door. Sugizo crushes Grandpa’s skull with a hammer before he realizes who walked through the door.

Takeru and Izzy scream in shock, and Sugizo runs toward them with the hammer. As they run through the corridors, Takeru notices a door to the basement. The two go back to the cave system and hide in one of the coffins. Although they try to keep their voice down, Sugizo enters the coffin room.

Sugizo slams his hammer down on the coffins one by one while Takeru and Izzy get increasingly scared. Eventually, Sugizo assumes they’re elsewhere and wanders off. Takeru deduces that there may be another secret exit that Sugizo used to drag Mercy’s body.

Takeru and Izzy walk out of the room to search and immediately run into Sugizo’s gigantic body. Izzy remembers Takeru talking about the times in gambling where luck never strikes. However, Takeru’s strategy is to hit the dealer with something they’d never expect.

Izzy jumps up and tells everyone to watch closely as she does a hop, a step, and a quarter note. Takeru and Sugizo are just speechless, wondering what she’s on about. Izzy immediately backtracks and apologizes, which pisses Sugizo off even more. A lightbulb clicks in Takeru’s head as he thinks of a plan.

Takeru begins encouraging Sugizo to smash Izzy’s head in. Takeru tells Sugizo that he should loudly shout ‘a one, a two and a squash ‘em’ while crushing her head. Takeru keeps screaming, and Izzy also begins shouting. As Sugizo also shouts, the wooden support above him collapses, and a pile of dirt falls onto him.

As Izzy and Takeru recover, they see cans of gasoline to take back for the van. On the walk back, Izzy tells Takeru he’s cool to have around in a pinch. The two get back into the truck. Meanwhile, after Granny gnaws on his leg, Sugizo emerges from the dirt in zombie form.

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead is a dystopian horror-comedy manga series written by Haro Aso and illustrated by Kotaro Takata. It has been serialized in Shogakukan’s seinen manga magazine Monthly Sunday Gene-X since October 2018 and is collected into 13 volumes.
