The group gets stranded by the mountainside after running out of gas. Takeru and Yukari spot a flashing light amidst the commotion and decide to check it out to see if people live there. They hitchhike to the manor and learn a creepy rumor on the way.

The house belongs to the Yamagimi Samurai clan, which is known to hunt humans for sport. Although it was just a creepy story passed around, it quickly turned real.

Perfectly jinxing it, the van runs out of gas, and they pull over on the side of the road. The entire group begins fighting with each other and pointing fingers, almost as if they want to prove Beatrix wrong. She tries calming them down, but she gets dragged into the fight.

Yukari and Takeru notice a flashing light across the hills while the others quarrel and decide to check it out in hopes of gas. Takeru’s optimistic about the mountainside since the sun is bright, there would hardly be any zombies in the area.

Misfortune continues to follow them, and it starts pouring in the middle of the way. Somehow, he remains optimistic and plays around with twigs while waiting for the weather to calm. He sticks his thumb out onto the road, waiting to hitchhike.

As if God intended it, a van comes by just then and picks them up. Kazuki and Selina, the van owners, were heading to the light since they were low on gas. From the back of the van, Mercy starts telling horror stories about the house, the Yamagimi Family Manor.

This region has had a history of mysterious disappearances since the Yamagimi era. Rumor has it that the samurai that led the family had grown tired of hunting deer and animals and begun hunting humans instead.

Now that the zombie pandemic has begun, the family no longer has to worry about authorities. Mercy ends the story by saying he made it all up but still warns them that it’s not entirely out of the question. They reach the manor after a small drive, and it looks completely deserted.
