As they leave, they witness a disturbance in the distance. Upon closer inspection, they realize that a tribe is brutally attacking their neighbor.
The tribe is searching for treasures and a long knife, putting Karli’s wife in critical condition. When they don’t find what they’re looking for, they move on to other homes.
Later on, at the end of the chapter, we see the LNU tribe start to attack Thorfinn and others, and as they run away, we see one of the members of the LNU tribe aiming a bow and arrow towards Thorfinn, who is in the line of the attack.
