Fighters clash as the tournament begins in chapter 113 of TenSura, titled “The Battle Tournament.”

We saw a lot of battles taking place in this chapter. However, only one or two battles managed to give some kind of excitement and thrill to Rimuru. He and his friends tried their best to show Masayuki his true strength, but they failed.

Gobta might get to fight Masayuki if he wins against Lion Mask in chapter 114 of TenSura.

Rimuru’s target to know Masayuki’s true strength seems to be an impossible dream now. Only some kind of cheap tricks or cunningness will make Gobta win his fight against Lion Mask.

Besides that, it seems highly unlikely for Gobta to win the fight alone. Either Masayuki will fight Lion Mask and get defeated, or Rimuru will make it so that Gobta can face him and show his true colors. 

4. Chapter 113 Recap

Rimuru begins the battle tournament with a speech. Gobta remembers how he was recruited into the team by Rimuru. We get a flashback when Rimuru decides who will battle in the tournament with his friends.

Gobta is frustrated by how Rigur tossed his name while he was asleep. While he is reminiscing, the battle has already begun. Competitors engage in a brutal fight to get into the big four.

Bovix wins the first battle against Equix. Masayuki and Jinrai are about to fight the next battle, but Jinrai (who is Masayuki’s subordinate) withdraws from the fight, making Masayuki the winner.

Gobta gets to fight Gaiye in the third battle. Gobta tries to avoid fighting Gaiye as much as he can. Seeing Gobta struggle, Rimuru decides to help him and tells him he will be rewarded if he wins.

Rimuru offers to buy a new fishing pole if Gobta wins. Gobta seeks permission to summon a creature and calls forward Star Wolf, who throws Gaiye away in one hit.

Rimuru realizes it is Ranga who acted as a summon just to participate in the tournament. They get on with the next battle. Lion Mask fights Geld in the next battle.

They fight an intense battle that lasts for more than half an hour. Lion Mask asks Geld to use his full ability, but Geld tells him to do the same. Lion Mask decides to use one of his skills and punches Geld with it.

Geld remains standing on his two feet but accepts his defeat. After lunch, Bovix is tagged against Masayuki. However, instead of fighting, Masayuki convinces Bovix to postpone their fight so they can fight each other with full strength.

Masayuki wins again. Rimuru thinks that Gobta has to win his semifinal match to face Masayuki. However, this plan seems to fail in the future because Gobta is pitched against Lion Mask, decreasing the probability of winning significantly.
