4. Chapter 90 Recap
Anya and Yor take Bond out for a walk to their neighborhood park. Anya wants to go there because it has a giant obstacle course. However, instead of Bond, Anya starts playing around. She even damages her brand-new clothes, much to Yor’s dismay.
Anya overhears some kids in the park talking about an old man sitting on a bench. The kids think he is a potential enemy spy waiting for his contact. This immediately piques Anya’s interest, who decides to read his mind and expose his secret plan. However, the only thought in the old man’s head is that he wants to go home. He is lost and doesn’t remember his way back.
Anya is dumbfounded at this knowledge. While the kids drive the old man away, Anya stares at him in contemplation. However, she goes back to playing. The old man loses his way again and ends up struggling. He even mistakes Anya for Barbara.
Yor asks if the old man is lost and if he remembers anything about his home. The old man does not remember anything significant. Anya cannot help him even after reading his mind. He was out to do some shopping, so Yor decides to take him to the marketplace. That should remind him of something.
The group walks around the marketplace but ends up back at the park even after multiple tries. The old man keeps mumbling under his breath, which makes it hard for Yor to understand what he’s saying. However, Anya keeps reading his mind and tells Yor what he’s thinking. There is a lot of miscommunication, and they even end up at a mafia office once.
The old man feels terrible about dragging Anya, Yor, and Bond alongside him and decides to treat Anya to waffles. Yor realizes how this is the closest Anya will come to having grandparents. The old man drops a ticket, which Anya recognizes to be from their neighborhood candy store. Yor praises her, and they make their way to the candy shop.
Bond suddenly starts running, and Yor thinks he has found the old man’s scent in the neighborhood. They follow Bond, only to end up in front of their own building. They see Loid helping Barbara to move stuff. Loid reveals that they are moving in next door. The old man, Sigmund Authen, and his wife, Barabara Authen, are the Forger family’s new neighbors.
