One Piece Ch 1090 Release Date, Raws: The Elbaaf Arc will Finally Begin!

The Straw Hats takes York, hostage in chapter 1089 of One Piece, titled “Hostage Situation.”

It was an interesting chapter that gave the account of a disaster that took place after the annihilation of Lulusia. Imu was behind a worldwide earthquake that caused havoc and raised the water level of the planet by one meter.

Meanwhile, hordes of sailors, nine vice admirals, one admiral, and an elder show up at Egghead to eliminate the most genius mind. However, they didn’t know that Luffy and his crew had already taken control of the whole situation.

1. Chapter 1090 Release Date

Chapter 1090 of the One Piece manga has been released on Sunday, Aug 20, 2023. The chapter title has not been leaked yet.

It is a weekly manga, and a new chapter is released every Sunday. You can read One Piece on VIZ Media, Google Store, itunes, and Manga Plus.

2.. Chapter 1090 Raw Scans, Leaks

Raw scans of chapter 1090 of One Piece have been released. Chapter 1090 is titled Admiral Kizaru.

In the raw scans of One Piece chapter 1090, Luffy announces he would become the Pirate King. He then says that because they are allies with Dr. Vegapunk, they should pull the fleet away from the shore if they care about York’s life.

Gorosei inquires if it is Straw Hat Luffy. Nico prevents Luffy from disclosing all of the 

information. Saturn tells them they have three things to protect: York’s physical safety, the punk recordings that make up his brain, and the powerplant required to decrease the Mother Flame. The Gorosei are ready to discard Rob, Lucci, and his team.

Vegapunk informs them that the Seraphim will not escape because the imprisoning bubble balls are made of the same armored substance as Pacifista MK3s. It is revealed that S-Snake undid the petrification of Frankie by violating Vegapunk’s programming because she is a carbon clone of Hancock and couldn’t ignore Luffy’s charm.

York has used a password to lock down the frontier dome’s barrier and has not shared it with the others. She believes that the password and the Marine Government are the things that will protect her from harm.

The Straw Hats and Vegapunk decide that their next destination should be Elbaaf. The Elbaaf arc is finally going to begin!

Kizaru explains Sentomary would direct the mechanized sea beasts and the 50 Pacifistas under his command to sink the Marine ships if they launched the attack. However, he has a plan and instructs the Rokushiki users and Cypher Poll operatives to prepare. They will target the sea beasts because explosives do not work on Pacifistas. Sentomaru unleashes the Pacifistas as Kizaru launches his attack. 

In the final panel, Luffy employs his Observation Haki and declares that someone powerful is on his way.

3. Chapter 1090 Discussion

The navy will try to figure a way out of the situation in chapter 1090 of One Piece.

I. Using York

The Straw Hats have brilliantly used York to find out what has been going on. I think her use hasn’t ended yet, as there seems to be a lot more she is hiding from them.

She was talking about Mother Flame with the elders. It is one of the most dangerous weapons Vegapunk made for Imu, which it used to destroy Lulusia. Straw Hats will try to find out why the elders need it now.

II. Cause of the Earthquake

The earthquake was covered in detail in the previous chapter. However, it is happening after the destruction of Lulusia raises a lot of questions. There is a huge hole in the middle of the ocean, and still, there is a rise in sea level. It doesn’t make sense.

There has to be something more to the situation than what meets our eyes. Lulusia’s annihilation is becoming more and more mysterious with every passing chapter. We need to know the reason for Imu’s actions after the annihilation and what it is after.

4. Chapter 1089 Recap

On Dawn Island, people discuss Garp’s disappearance. Woop Slap tells everyone not to worry about Garp. A massive earthquake causes havoc in all parts of the world, from East Blue to North Blue.

It was not possible to pinpoint the epicenter of the quake. No one knew what was happening. However, the disaster happened six days after the annihilation of the Kingdom of Lulusia.

A giant black hole formed where there was Lulusia before, and it became impossible to approach it. The earthquake caused sea levels to rise by one meter.

While the whole world was dealing with the high tides and tsunamis, a country-sized fleet consisting of numerous battleships and 30,000 sailors approached Egghead.

This large fleet was led by nine vice-admirals and the one and only Admiral Kizaru. He tells Sentomaru to surrender peacefully, but the latter refuses, saying he never thought Kizaru would come to eliminate him.

On one of the battleships, Jaygarcia Saturn, an elder and the Godhead of Defense, sit with other vice admirals and tells them not to let Egghead know about his presence.

The vice admirals and the elder assess the present situation and see who is allied with Vegapunk. The frontier doom’s barrier is at 100%, making it impossible for them to see what is happening inside, and they have been on standby for more than a day.

Saturn orders the sailors to sink the ship of all the research staff and technicians of Egghead. They detect a signal coming from Egghead. A call is made to Marijoa, where York asks the elders why they are killing her too.

She tells them not to kill her and asks the reason for surrounding the island. They tell her that they have changed their mind and ask her if she can create the Mother Flame. She agrees.

She tells them that the power plant that creates it is on the island, so they have to promise her that they won’t attack the island. Near the end of her sentence, she starts pleading with them to save her from Luffy.

Turns out that the Straw Hats have taken her hostage, and they have forced her to make the call.
