One Piece Ch 1088 Release Date, Raw scans: Kuzan Freezes Garp

Garp and Kuzan throw fists at each other in chapter 1087 of One Piece, titled “Battleship Bags.”

Oda is back after a long break with an intense chapter. We got some great action and a few flashbacks while the whole chapter focused on the New World Island and Koby’s rescue mission.

Garp was undefeatable for a major portion of the chapter. However, a cheap and cunning trick from the pirates causes him to get stabbed by Shiryu. It all comes down to Kuzan and Garp, the disciple and the master, ending it all with a one-on-one fight.

1. Chapter 1088 Raw Scans, Leaks

The raw scans of chapter 1088 of One Piece have been released. The upcoming chapter is titled ‘Last Lesson.’

The spoilers reveal that Koby is using a new attack called ‘Honesty Impact’ in chapter 1088. However, a cruel fate awaits Garp as Kuzan pierces him with an ice blade.

Garp is surrounded by Blackbeard pirates and starts to freeze. The narrator states “”Legendary Hero Garp” disappeared at Hachinosu. Fate: Unknown”

Since Garp’s fate is ‘unknown,’ we can presume he is not dead yet. He might be able to escape just like Saul in Ohara, but at the same time, he is in a difficult predicament as he is surrounded by pirates.

I. What will Koby do?

Pizarro has put Koby, Garp, and their ship under great threat. With his giant, powerful hands, all he needs to do is just smash the boat to end it all at once. The next chapter might tell us about everyone’s faith.

Koby and Garp seem to be the only two officers still on the island. Maybe Koby will be successful in sending everyone away but will remain captive under Blackbeard. Garp won’t die as of now, but he looks terribly weak because of the stab.

At Ship Graveyard near naval base G1, Branew, Jango, and Fullbody stand near a heavily dented ship. Branew tells the other two that Garp and Aokiji used to punch the ship without the use of haki or anything, just raw strength, and practiced every day.

He tells them that the two naval officers’ insurmountable strength hasn’t come to them with birth. On Pirate Island, Fullalead, New World, the pirates are in a state of panic because of Garp’s attacks.

Despite every pirate’s unique attack, Garp refuses to stand down. Pizzaro fears that Garp might destroy the whole island.

Garp gets the report that all the refugees and sailors are onboard, and they are just waiting for him. Garp tells Koby and others to leave the island. Just then, Kuzan shows up, refusing to let Garp leave the island.

Garp tells Koby, Grus, and Helmeppo to run to the shore on his command. As Koby is about to leave, he sees a few more captives and goes to rescue them, but it turns out to be a trap.

One of the pirates attacks him, but Garp takes the blow instead and gets stabbed in the stomach. It was Shiryu who attacked. The pirates get excited that Garp is weakened now, and they have a chance to take him down.

Kuzan tells them to get out of his way as they still don’t stand a chance against him. As he approaches Garp with his Ice Glove, we get a flashback of Garp and Kuzan’s youth.

Garp refuses to take Kuzan as his apprentice. They start hitting the ship with their hands. Later, Garp gets angry and tells Kuzan that his son has become a revolutionary, and after that, he gets angry again and tells Kuzan that his grandson has become a pirate.

We get back to the present, where Garp dismisses Kuzan, and both the officers punch each other hard across the face.

Garp falls down. Pizzaro mocks him for thinking he and his friends can get out of this alive and prepares to show the power of his devil fruit. Koby has still not reached the boat, and that worries Hibari.

Pizarro turns part of the island into a large hand and extends it towards Garp’s boat. He reads out the headline of tomorrow’s newspaper that will read out as the great captain Pizaaro of the Blackbeard Pirates brought a tragic end to Vice Admiral Garp and naval hero Koby.

Koby starts panicking, but Garp tells him not to worry and claims that justice will prevail.
