Shi Ba Shou becomes an unstoppable force as he slashes his way to Ousen in chapter 789 of Kingdom.

It was an epic chapter. Shi Ba Shou’s furious pursuit to reach Ousen was enough to give chills to anyone reading it. How he blazed through hordes of soldiers, slashing everyone and taking little damage in return, was truly unforgettable. 

However, Ousen, without giving heed to his soldiers’ lives, pushed them to sacrifice their lives for his sake. This presented a stark difference in Seika and Qin’s treatment of their soldiers, telling us much about their moral grounds and almost putting Ousen in a bad light.

3. Chapter 790 Discussion 

Shi Ba Shou will fight Akou and Sou’Ou in chapter 790 of Kingdom. 

I. Shi Ba Shou’s Target

Shi Ba Shou has come very close to his target, but with the entry of Akou and Sou’Ou, I doubt he will be able to achieve it. He would have easily taken both commanders if not for all that slashing he did in the previous few chapters. 

However, he has major injuries and must have been tired after the long pursuit. His zeal and determination made me root for him, but winning this battle doesn’t seem to go according to the rules, as he is the antagonist. 

He will need Kansaro’s help to deal with the new commanders who have shown up, but we still don’t know Kansaro’s whereabouts. The outcome is very unpredictable at the moment, and only the next chapter can curb this excitement. 

II. Shin and Riboku

Shin is nowhere to be found, and we will have to wait a bit more to see him again as the focus is completely on the battle between Ousen and Shi Ba Shou. 

Fans are eager to see Ousen in action, but it’s highly unlikely we will see that. Riboku might decide to enter the battlefield if he feels Shi Ba Shou is in big trouble. He must be onto something else as he stopped Fu Tei from entering the battle to aid Shi Ba Shou. 

Whatever his plans are, he might be considering the possibility of Seika’s loss and thinking of some other way to take Ousen down in this very battle. 

4. Chapter 789 Recap 

Riboku gets the report that some part of the Yo Tan Wa army reached the Hango castle. He takes further information from the messenger regarding Zhao’s left wing. 

After learning that Bananji and Shunsuiju are not moving, Riboku tells his subordinates not to get distracted from their prime focus, Ousen, as the soldiers who have reached Hango must be very few in numbers. 

Futei asks Riboku if he can join the battle against Ousen, but Riboku refuses. They get the report of Kansaro joining the main battle. Riboku tells his comrades not to worry, as the winner will be Seika. 

On the battlefield, despite Akou’s aggressive move, Shi Ba Shou is about to reach Ousen before Qin’s backup. Sou’Ou also realizes that Shi Ba Shou will reach Ousen before them. 

Shi Ba Shou blazes his way forward. He comes close to Ousen’s insight. Seeing the giant commander, the Qin soldiers start panicking and request Ousen to withdraw. 

Ousen refuses, claiming his personal guards unit will protect him against Shi Ba Shou. He tries to motivate his unit to sacrifice their life for his sake. Having no choice, the unit rushes forward to stop Shi Ba Shou with everything they have. 

However, Shi Ba Shou stops at nothing. He cuts soldiers like vegetables and gets closer to Ousen with every passing second. The Seika and the Qin soldiers push their way forward to protect and support their respective lords. 

Shi Ba Shou destroys the entire enemy line, leaving no soldier in front of Ousen. He does get some damage in return. However, Ousen claims he will be victorious because Akou and Sou’Ou show up before Shi Ba Shou, building another giant wall between him and Ousen.
