The previous chapter of Kagurabachi began with Chihiro confronting the mystery sorcerer in order to save Char. Chihiro freed the small girl by severing the sorcery binds with his enchanted blade.

Shiba came at the same moment and used his teleportation abilities to transport Char to a secure area.

The chapter also explained how sorcery works in Kagurabachi. Apparently, anyone can awaken sorcery powers by tapping into the spirit energy that lies dormant within them.
