3. Chapter 16 Speculation
Chihiro has finally reached Char, and she is relieved. However, he is still significantly injured. Infiltrating the lab proved easier, but escaping with Char would be hard. We are yet to see what Shiba is up to. After dealing with his own affairs, he must also return to Chihiro and Char to help them.
Meanwhile, the Kamunabi are still fighting Sojo. Last we saw, they had him cornered. All the members attacked Sojo simultaneously, which should be enough to take him down.
However, Sojo dying that easily seems unlikely, and even though the Kamunabi are elite sorcerers, Sojo is still a wielder of an enchanted blade. Like Chihiro has mentioned before, an enchanted blade can go beyond its limit depending on the wielder, which might prove helpful for Sojo to escape death.
4. Chapter 15 Recap
Chapter 15 of ‘Kagurabachi’ titled “Food” begins with a flashback of Char and her mother. Char’s mother always told her to hide her ability from everyone until she met someone she could trust with all her heart.
Char asked her mother if she ever told anyone, and her mother revealed that the person she told her secret got scared and ran away. Char wonders if her mother is happy, and her mother reassures her that she is because she has Char by her side.
Chihiro uses Kuro Scatter to fight, but the guards underestimate him because of his condition. One of them launches himself at Chihiro to attack him, but he gets cut in half. This surprised all of the guards as Enten cut through iron gauntlets like butter.
Kuro Scatter is a combination of mini-Kuro attacks that uses the same amount of spirit energy as Kuro. Although it’s not as strong, it makes rapid slashes. Chihiro hit the guard with 20 mini-attacks, which allowed him to make high-powered swings without exerting himself.
Chihiro’s intuitive understanding of Enten was accelerated in his state of extreme concentration. He easily takes out the rest of the guards using Kuro Scatter and makes his way to Char.
Another flashback of Char with her mother reveals how they escaped from Sojo. Char’s mother was the only survivor of the Kyonagi clan, but Sojo tracked her down and locked her and Char up for experimentation.
Char’s mother felt guilty for dragging her own daughter into her mess. However, as long as she is with her mother, Char does not care what happens. More determined than ever, Char’s mother managed to escape her cell with Char. She could not escape from the lab, but she made sure Char did.
Chihiro fights his way inside the lab and finally finds Char. Char held on for this long because of her mother. Chihiro brings Char a hamburger and hands it to her with a smile. Char takes it and cries in relief.
