Chihiro has decided to gamble everything with his one and final attack. Shiba is also tied up with other sorcerers and has his own role to fulfill. Chihiro has to hold out until Shiba gets there. Meanwhile, the Kamunabi are also fighting Sojo. They managed to corner and attack Sojo simultaneously, and getting attacked by elites should be enough to kill him. However, Chihiro has mentioned countless times that the enchanted blades might go beyond their limits depending on their wielder so Sojo might be able to pull something at the last moment.

Chapter 14 of Kagurabachi begins with another flashback of the Kamunabi learning about enchanted blades from Chihiro. Chihiro reveals that the abilities of the enchanted blades sometimes surpass their limits depending on their wielder. Uncertain influence like the wielder’s body or their will sometimes summons an unforeseen power.
Shiba tagged along with Chihiro, but they split up as they had another objective. Shiba sets out to learn more about Hishaku and Shinuchi, who is backing up Sojo. Shiba and Chihiro split up as they don’t have much time.
Chihiro heads to the lab to save Char while Shiba goes to find the shack connecting to an underground storage room. Before parting ways, Shiba reminds Chihiro that he is in no condition to fight. In case he runs into sorcerers, Chihiro is supposed to wait for Shiba to come and help.
While Chihiro is scouting the area for sorcerers, he gets ambushed from behind. Shiba is surprised that Chihiro has already been discovered but has his own problems to deal with. Chihiro has no choice but to fight the sorcerer guards if he wants to survive. However, Chihiro can barely move because of his injuries, so he chooses to escape.
Sojo mentioned wanting Chihiro’s enchanted blade, so the guards block all exits to keep Chihiro from escaping. While Chihiro is hiding, he contemplates the best course of action. Chihiro is in no state to fight, so he can only wait for Shiba to arrive, but he is suddenly reminded of his father.
Rokuhira always told Chihiro to find his own shape instead of trying to be like someone else. Char’s experiment is set to begin again as the guards inform the scientists that Chihiro ran away. Char begins to lose hope again and goes into despair.
Chihiro comes out of hiding and decides to take a gamble. He puts his all into the final attack, planning to take out everyone with Enten even if it costs him his life. He apologizes to Char before launching the final attack.
