The Kamunabi act on Chihiro’s plan in order to counter Cloud Gouger and defeat Sojo. Sojo moves as predicted by Chihiro, and the Kamunabi attack accordingly.
Despite getting hit by one of the lightly charged Mei attacks, the Kamunabi manages to corner Sojo.

3. Chapter 14 Speculation
The Kamunabi have cornered Sojo, and he is defenseless for the next ten seconds, which should be enough for the elite squad to take him down. However, it seems highly unlikely that Sojo will be killed that easily, even though Chihiro thought out the plan.
Sojo’s past still remains a mystery, but considering how morbid it looked, it doesn’t seem plausible for Sojo to die without any consequences. He can hold off for ten seconds and then get back into the battle.
Meanwhile, Chihiro has found out Char’s location. Char is currently locked up in the lab, which enrages Chihiro. Rokuhira tells Chihiro how the Datenseki’s limitations can be transformed based on its holder.
The lab Char is locked into harbors Datenseki in order to fuse it with her body parts. Chihiro will have access to it once he manages to break in. We might see the Datenseki transforming in the hands of Chihiro.
However, it has only been a few hours since Chihiro got out of the hospital. Battling sorcerers in the current state of his body will be challenging, but to rescue Char, Chihiro has no choice but to fight.
4. Chapter 13 Recap
Chapter 13 of Kagurabachi is titled “Elite.” The Kamunabi have surrounded Sojo and are ready to attack. Even after being ambushed by the elites, Sojo still wishes that Azami and Shiba should have been there, as fighting them would have helped him test the limits of Cloud Gouger.
Chihiro explained the working of Cloud Gouger as promised. There are three prominent attacks – Kou, the water attack; Yui, the ice attack; and Mei, the lightning attack. The higher-ups made a six-member team to eliminate Sojo as they thought his death was not enough to stop the current predicament. The Hishaku are probably working behind the scenes as well.
Chihiro gives the Kamunabi a way to counter all the Cloud Gouger attacks. Chihiro’s plan is to first make the Kamunabi hit Sojo with a constant barrage of attacks. This tactic is to ensure Sojo never gets to use Mei, which will make Sojo think that they are afraid of it.
The Kamunabi follow the plan of attack, and an aerial battle takes place between them and Sojo. As predicted, Sojo attacks with a linkup attack between Kou and Mei, which transmits the lightning through the water, electrocuting the Kamunabi.
The next step in Chihiro’s plan was that if Sojo attacked with a linkup, the Kamunabi should let themselves get hit, giving Sojo time to charge up enough to fire a fully powered Mei. This surprises the Kamunabi because a direct hit means they will die.
However, Chihiro explains that if Sojo fires a fully charged Mei, he will also be wide open for ten seconds, which will be the Kamunabi’s chance to victory. Chihiro does not offer them a way to counter the fully powered Mei thought. Since they are an elite squad, they should be able to handle the rest themselves.
Sojo’s attack pattern is exactly what Chihiro predicted, and the Kamunabi manages to enclose him right after he fires off the fully powered Mei. Now, for the next ten seconds, the Kamunabi are safe to attack Sojo rapidly, all at once. The outcome of the battle reminds Sojo of Chihiro.
Meanwhile, Chihiro made one of the guards fess up Char’s location. Currently, Char is being held in a lab that is being guarded by sorcerers. Chihiro will have to fight them to get to her. He is reminded of Rokuhira’s words about how the Datenseki transforms based on its holder.
