2. Chapter 245 Raw Scans, Leaks
Hakari and Urame will take their battle to the next level in chapter 245 of Jujutsu Kaisen.
The chapter starts with their fight. Urame is frustrated to get separated from Sukuna. She attacks him with Frost Calm, which freezes her opponents using cursed technique. Seeing how quickly Hakari reacts and regenerates, Urame declares that she no longer considers Hakari a human.

3.1. Yuji’s New Power?
Even though there was no elaboration about the change in Yuji’s arm in chapter 238, we sure get to see him back in action after so long. What was more shocking was his raw physical strength. Surprising the king of curses with the strength of a mere punch is no small feat.
We see in chapter 245 that Sukuna needed to use three of his arms to stop a simple one-handed punch from Yuji, which was most likely imbued with cursed energy. After taking the punch head-on, even Sukuna was surprised by the strength of it. Additionally, earlier in the chapter, Yuji thanks Kamo for his “Lessons” and says Choso is bad at teaching. This may be a hint to Yuji learning Blood Manipulation and unlocking his very own cursed technique.
3.2 Sukuna Stands in Trial
Chapter 245 will show us Sukuna’s trial in Higuruma’s domain. How exactly Judgeman works is still a mystery, and we still don’t know if Sukuna can be properly accused of mass murder in Shibuya cause even at that time, it was the 19 fingers and not the person himself.
Also, following one theory on the internet, we can see that according to Japanese law, death penalties cannot be executed on Sundays, Saturdays, and holidays. December 24, 2018, the day Higuruma and Yuji started fighting, Sukuna happened to be on a holiday in lieu of the Emperor’s birthday.
Moreover, Gege decided to take a break before the next chapter so that chapter 246, potentially the chapter where Sukuna receives his death penalty, would come out on December 24, a Sunday. Knowing how good the author is at foreshadowing, it seems apparent that Sukuna will not receive the death penalty.
4. Chapter 244 Recap
We see in a flashback that everything that has happened in the fight till now following Gojo’s death was planned beforehand by Kusakabe. He knew that if Gojo died, it would be an all-out war against Sukuna, but they couldn’t ignore Kenjaku completely.
He decided to send Takaba and Yuta against Kenjaku, where Takaba’s role is to hide Yuta’s presence through his distractive cursed technique. And Yuta would have to cut his head off at the right moment, removing one threat from the equation.
In this war against Sukuna, they must choose who fights and who sits back carefully because anyone incapable of fighting will just be dead weight on the battlefield. Miwa and Kamo withdraw since Miwa can’t use her Katana due to a binding vow she made back in Shibuya, and Kamo thinks he lacks the skills to provide help in this fight.
Higuruma says he’ll be the third one to go against sukuna if Kashimo loses. If he’s able to give Sukuna the death sentence, it’ll be a huge help in the battle since his executioner’s sword can kill anyone with just one blow. The huge problem in this plan is that he can’t choose what crimes “Judgeman” will try Sukuna for.
They make a list of Sukuna’s crimes when he was still in Itadori’s body but putting him on trial for those could potentially fail since it was a doing of his fingers. Sukuna himself never willfully did it. Higuruma also explains how the Nagayama criteria will guarantee a death penalty, but Judgeman doesn’t follow those criteria.
They keep trying to find ways of guaranteeing the death penalty on Sukuna, but the way “Judgeman” works makes it seem impossible. Suddenly, Yuji proposes an idea, and he asks Higuruma if he can restart the trial against Yuji for mass murder in Shibuya and then charge Sukuna for the crime instead.
In the present, the point of view switches to Mei Mei, who’s using her crows to distract Sukuna while Yuji and Higuruma start the fight. As soon as the fight starts, Yuji starts throwing punches at him, but he tries to counter them using Kamutoke. Before he can do that, Higuruma binds his weapon, and Yuji successfully lands a punch.
Before Sukuna could recover from the aftershock, Higuruma opens his domain, “Deadly Sentencing”. According to Yuji’s plan, Judgeman brings up the trial against Yuji, but Higuruma defends him, saying he didn’t kill anyone; the real murderer is Sukuna.
