Seeing the difficult adversary, Goten, and Trunks begin their fusion to become Gotenks, but they fail by a narrow margin and become the bloated Gotenks. Piccolo and Trunks, unable to fight, return to the battlefield to assist Gotenks.
Cell Max’s vulnerability is exposed by Gamma 1 and 2, destroying his skull. Even though everyone is now shooting at his head, Cell Max manages to avoid them and goes insane with his tail.
The chapter ends with everyone hiding from Cell Max and Gamma 2 heading to save Dr. Hedo as he is still alive, and the only person in this place who knows how to control Cell Max.
