Gohan reaches his ultra form in chapter 99 of Dragon Ball Super, titled “Son Gohan’s Ultimate Awakening.”

The big battle is ending as Gohan has yet again passed his limits and reached another new level of strength. Now, all that awaits is the ultimate attack to finish it all.

Piccolo took a lot of beating in the chapter. For the most part, he got beaten up while Gohan spent all this time powering himself up. All the beating he received finally turned fruitful in the end.

Gohan will beat Cell Max in chapter 100 of Dragon Ball Super, and I don’t think any of it will excite any of the regular viewers who have already seen the movie.

However, fans are excited for the next chapter as the mangaka has promised to give a big surprise in the next chapter. Many speculate that it might be the return of Frieza Black, exploring the new Namekian lore centered around him.

Or there are possibilities that the manga may expand on this Cell saga and give Cell Max a new form or something. That will be a drag and will not sit well with the readers. 4. Chapter 99 Recap

Picollo gives time to Gohan to charge himself up and goes ahead to engage Cell Max. They share blows for two pages, but Cell Max ultimately throws Piccolo away. 

Piccolo gets beaten up but still tells Gohan to focus on his chi. He gets up and starts fighting Cell Max again. They share some very heavy blows. Seeing them fight, Gotenks also decides to intrude in the fight, only to get thrown in one punch.

Other side characters also try contributing to the fight, but none of these affects Cell Max. Everyone gets thrown aside while Gohan continues to charge himself up.

Piccolo and Cell Max get on with their brawl again, Cell Max rips off one of Piccolo’s arms with a blast from his mouth. Gohan gets restless and wants to intrude, but Piccolo tells him not to lose his focus no matter what happens to him.

Cell Max starts brutally beating up Piccolo. He throws the green guy high in the air and bombards him with successive attacks. He prepares to unleash a huge attack on him.

Seeing this, Gamma 1 rushes up to aid Piccolo. A huge explosion takes place. After witnessing the explosion, Gohan unleashes his true power and finally reaches his ultimate form.

Cell Max fails to hold a candle to the immense power Gohan has now attained. Piccolo falls from the sky, revealing Gamma 1 shielded him from the blast at the last minute.

Seeing himself getting overwhelmed, Cell Max starts fleeing, but Piccolo holds him tight. It gets increasingly difficult to hold down Cell, but Krillin and Gamma 1 help with that.

Piccolo completely wraps himself around Cell. The chapter ends as Gohan prepares himself for the final blow.
