I. Barem’s Plan

Barem turns out to be what one can call an obsessed lover of Chainsaw Man. He doesn’t care about anything and anyone unless and until he gets Chainsaw Man back into hunting.

He is not alone in this quest, but at least Sugo seems to have some kind of conscience. We don’t yet know what kind of powers Barem has, so I am eager to see what he pulls off.

Maybe he can control devils in a certain way because the way he talked sounded like he would be the one to unleash the devils into the city.

II. Will Denji Return?

This is the biggest question even Denji is seeking the answer to. Everyone is dying to see Chainsaw Man back in action, but it can’t happen without repercussions.

He isn’t particularly fond of saving lives, but it can motivate him to return and make him realize that being Chainsaw Man is what he wants in his life.

Something major is brewing up, and it will affect everyone and everything. It might even start a chain reaction type effect, causing massive chaos. I can’t wait to read the next chapter.

4. Chapter 141 Recap

Denji and Nayuta go to a supermarket and encounter a big devil. Denji gets somewhat excited to deal with it, but Devil Hunters immediately takes charge of the situation, leaving him upset.

He continues with his normal life, eating and taking baths with his dogs, brushing his teeth with Nayuta, and sleeping comfortably with all his dogs and Nayuta around him.

However, he is unable to sleep. He stares at a Chainsaw Man poster and asks Nayuta what will happen to his life from then on. He asks whether he will be happy after he graduates and gets a job.

Nayuta asks him if he is unhappy, to which he doesn’t have an answer. She calls him hopeless, saying she will be there with him for the rest of his life, and he will be happy because she is cute.

Hearing this, he goes to sleep with Nayuta around his arms. The narrative shifts to a restaurant where Barem and Sugo sit with their accomplices.

The Chainsaw Man Chruch’s day of worship will be celebrated the next day, and the followers won’t hunt any devil that will appear.

The plan is to let civilians and hunters die like cockroaches so that Chainsaw Man is forced to make a return and fight all the devils. Sugo asks him why he is going that far.

One accomplice says they are mere weapons on the day of worship. Sugo disagrees with that and wants to make his own decision. Barem asks them about the similarity between humans, weapons, and devils.

He replies to his question by saying they were all born to kill. So, God will forgive them no matter how many people they kill the next day.

Chainsaw Man is a manga series by Tatsuki Fujimoto that was serialized from December 2018-2020 and returned in July 2022 with a second part. The series also received an anime series by MAPPA.

The manga’s plot revolves around Denji, an orphaned boy who has to work as a devil hunter to make a living and pay off his father’s debt.

However, his pet devil, Pochita is killed on a mission. Denji wakes up to realize he and Pochita have become a single being, Chainsaw Man. If he does not want to get killed, he has to join the government and continue hunting demons.
