He tries to use force, but Aldir tells him not to make haste. He returns and orders for the gates to be set to Etistin. Meanwhile, Cynthia has a nightmare where two men are about to kill her and retrieve information from her. 

A flashback of a conversation between Virion and Cynthia begins, where Virion tells Cynthia to open an academy to train the mages of Xyrus City. Virion wakes up from this dream after hearing a loud scream, after inquiring, he realizes the scream came from the room of Anna.

Arthur tries to head out again, but he is again stopped by a soldier. Arthur tells him he has Virion’s permission, but the soldier mocks him like some nobleman’s brat. 

This forces Arthur to pull out Sylvie’s dragon form and fly away. He rushes out in the snow. While walking on the snow, he can hear what Virion taught him about not blaming himself and keeping on fighting for a better future. 

Arthur thought that his reason to fight had always been to protect his near and dears. Meanwhile, Virion rushes towards Cynthia’s room, only to find her lying dead on her bed. 

As he looks upon the approaching enemy ships, Arthur thinks to himself that after all that has happened, he has another reason to fight: to right his wrong.
